Re: C section 2010

Dear Rissoles,

Better Luck Next Year.

Best Regards

Keano

Thanks for the good wishes, Keano, but I don't think luck had much to do with Sunday's affair. Old Camberwell were comprehensively beaten by a much better unit in AJAX.
I'm sure the experience will benefit our predominantly young brigade.
Congratulations on your promotion and all the very best in B next year.
I reckon you've got both opponents covered in a fortnight's time, so don't get too messy in the aftermatch celebrations....

He would say that, the bloke is a nutcase. His quarter time speech was like he was speaking to under 12's.

Not sure he has much of clue anymore... and yes they are in a prelim... but with the personnel he has, so they should be.

Thank you OTP for the tipping prize.

Re: C section 2010

The rain must of affected the game after qtr time. When I left it was 5 goals to 3... 3 goals for the rest of the game!

Ormond 2's going for 3 C Grade flags in a row!

And what's with the Sunday GF! How can the U/19's get preference? Poor form VAFA yet again...

Ormond looked all over Mazenod in the reserves.

But considering they were in B Grade last year, I'm not sure how they claimed the 2009 C Grade Reserves Flag?

Mazenod maybe wondering that one as well!

Re: C section 2010

3 games on Sunday at Sandringham, with 2 under 19 games on Saturday and one at 9.30 on Sunday. By the end of the weekend it will look like Elsternwick. They are also using Carlton as well, maybe thats where the A and B finals should be this week.
Nope VAFA has moved south 1 GF to boss james reserve, which is an absolute dog shit ground. Can someone tell me why?

Yes 'bedford' and it was in ordinary nick but not as bad as some other grounds. DeLa for instance. It's a shit heap. DeLa is training there during the week and the VAFA has been scheduling finals there at weekends. In fairness, however, the inclement weather has been a major issue which has seriously disrupted a few comps. I noticed in the tissues today the uproar surrounding the MPNFL when they cancelled a number of unders games.

The VAFA must be desperate to move a game to ground where they can't charge Richo. Finals time is when they fill up their coffers.

How come no finals were scheduled at Glenhuntly oval?

BTW, if you think TBO is looking pretty ordinary, you should've seen Meade Reserve in Clayton, where the Southern Football League Div 3 finals are on. The state of the ground is in the worst possible condition (a Heavy10 rating in racing language), and most people who were at the ground last think that the SFL should move the rest of the finals elsewhere. Yet for some strange reason, the SFL continues to play its finals matches at Meade Reserve. When was the last time SFL officials did a ground inspection?

How come no finals were scheduled at Glenhuntly oval?

There are quite a few grounds around the traps that are in reasonable condition but they aren't enclosed thereby not allowing the VAFA to charge an entrance fee. For that reason a line is generally drawn through them. The VAFA went to the extreme of erecting a temporary fence around the De La ground when they moved the unders from Central Reserve so we punters had to cough-up an entrance fee. That's why I'm a little surprised at them choosing Boss James - it's so open.

Yeah that's fair enough. I played at de las ground on Saturday and they only had one person at the entrance where the carpark is, as you probably know there are 2-3 other gates to get into the ground and no one was collecting entrance fees. What I also find baffling about VAFA's decision to rellocate the south 1 gf to boss James is the state of the surface. Played there about a month or so ago and it was terrible, I can only imagine how bad it is now after the recent weather. If they were that concerned with how chopped up the surface at TBO could be for the seniors, why wouldn't they move the seniors to Saturday and have the 19s on Sunday?

The VAFA 2010 Annual Report would make interesting reading..especially about the part of relocating finals venues at virtually the last minute. In all fairness, the VAFA is just a victim of unfortunate circumstances in which they had no control over (ie the weather).

Making Beauy back up after a 6 day break from what was an exhausting game on Sunday would be harsh - you may as well give the cup to The Fields now.

Looking at how stuffed the Sharks were after that great win, I can't see them getting over Caulfield this weekend anyways.

I'd struggle to go past Caulfield to take out both Senior and Reserve flags, although both games will be very competitive.

Good Luck next year and I see the Sharks posters in B Grade in 2011!
