Haha, he’s just had two weeks off!
He’s a developing footy player, he needs to play games of footy.
Like all kids he will have down games like today, so long as the coaching panel show faith in him he'll learn from and profit by it.I had a crack at him today, righty so! was Average today but yeah still young. Comments are subjective just like one poster saying will be a great player and will play 200 games.

Maybe not a rest but a game back in the VFL to find some footy and get his form back up?

Do people not see his two way running and the options he provides. He isnt being rewarded for it yet. But just keep pumping games into him
Bianco 12 touches and two goals isn’t quiet for a small forward. Both he and Bianco were very quiet today, but you're going to get that from developing kids.
Because he will become better than Madge.IF he not better then Madgen why did we Draft Him?

I’d compare them by who’s more detrimental to the teams and I’d have to say Madgen. My issue with him is for a negating defender he isn’t very good at negating.I’ve seen a few folks making this comparison, and it’s got me stumped. Aren’t they playing completely different roles?
Madgen is a negating tall defender who minds a KPF. He provides very little attacking ability (although IMO has shown a little more confidence in this area in recent weeks). I enjoyed being able to watch Madgen play live in the Sydney (VFL) game and was impressed with his backline leadership. Obviously you’d like somebody in his role to be a stronger mark and to offer more offensively, but our team list has far greater deficiencies than that.
By contrast Poulter is currently being played as a wingman.
So comparing Madgen to Poulter would be like comparing Roughead to Daicos?

I haven't seen the posts where the comparisons were made myself, but Madgen did get a couple of games on the wing earlier in the season where he played the role Poulter is playing now.I’ve seen a few folks making this comparison, and it’s got me stumped. I sure do. See him Keeping Running up and Down but gets Ignored a lot by Teammates
Madge has played every position from back pocket, CHB, wing, inside mid, full forward. All to a similar standard. His versatility is uncanny and thus we can compare him to anyone in the team.I’ve seen a few folks making this comparison, and it’s got me stumped. Aren’t they playing completely different roles?

Think he needs a break, rotate with Macrae
I agree, I think he needs to go back to the VFL for a few weeks.
Agree. As long as he keeps the effort level up I’d be happy to keep giving him exposure. Is there really someone in the VFL banging the door down? I don’t see it.
Poulter’s two-way running seems fine to me, and we’re not competing for a flag…
