The past fortnight he has been superb, his field kicking is generally high class.

I'm not sure I agree. I think his kicking is fairly sloppy and inconsistent. People talk about his size and speed but i'm not concerned about that, i'm more worried about his hurt factor for the position he plays. He's got a good tank and runs hard, just has to eradicate the floaters.

Disagree on his field kicking. It can be precise but his kick in the last quarter where he worked hard to provide an outlet from defence a case in point of what we’re getting more often than not. Just stood after marking the footy, opposition didn’t even move toward him for some time. When he did decide to move it on missed the target by a good 20+m and it dribbled out of bounds. Field kicking for the most part very ordinary ytd. No point getting 20+ possessions if a huge % of them are worthless. Let him continue honing his craft in the VFL.

He was moving up and down the ground very well in his last hitout. Should definitely be pushing WHE or Sidey into a week off if they continue their mediocre play

WHE and Sidey at no risk of being squeezed by Poulter at the moment imho.

If Sidebottom can keep up his GC effort then perhaps, but he was looking very poor previously.

I don't know what WHE is providing that would make him secure

WHE is playing his role. Yesterday he played predominantly HB/wing with an occasional run forward. Managed 17 disposals, a handful of marks, a couple of clearances, a handful of score involvements, and should have had a goal.

I’d hazard a guess Sidey remains the best runner in the side.

Kicks lollipops, no speed, doesn’t go back - as a wingman these are qualities you look for when drafting. How we decided to give our 1st rounder because he was available is beyond me.

Geez we seem to be eager to sink the boots into a second year player.

He's already better than the Browns. Needs the opportunity and development they've been given.
I know what you’re saying but you haven’t set the bar very high for comparison there.

Footy is brutal. Three quarter time against the Cats and I was on top of the world and looking forward to a brilliant, inspiring season filled with quick ball movement, fierce manic pressure and high scores. Boy, did reality come crashing down. You'd think I'd learn as a Collingwood supporter.

Got to give him a block of games I think, no point chopping and changing here and there week to week
Think i would too, but dont see that ability to accelerate away from congestion and be damaging with the ball. Far from our worst tonight though. Hope he can find his way into our best 25ish players which would make him a regular starter.
Not seeing an A grader but i'm sure he will improve.
