Can anyone beat the saints?

The only team who can beat st kilda is st kilda.

Yes I realise that sounds somewhat vvanky, but thats how I see it- on field, they are talented enough to take apart any side if focused, but no matter how good you are if you have an off day you're in trouble.

I'm not sure they'll go undefeated this year simply because it is very difficult to stay up and focused for 22 rounds this year- if they do that, they'll go undefeated and take some beating for the flag.

(My team) has what it takes to beat St Kilda.

I think that (my coach) has the tactical nouse to beat Grant Thomas, and that (my full back) will show Fraser Gehrig a thing or two. (Insert young St Kilda player) is overrated, as is (Aaron Hamill/Justin Koschtizke/Matthew Maguire). And (Steven Milne/Brent Guerra/Steven Baker) is a little (insert four letter expletive) - I'm sure (my toughest player) will take him out.

And their fans are (getting ahead of themselves/arrogant/forgetting the Grand Final is played in September) - this will cause problems for them. They'll lose focus. Teams like (Collingwood in 1990/Kangaroos in 1996/Carlton in 1995/Brisbane in 2003) all showed a character that the Saints have yet to display.

(My team's home ground) will prove to be a graveyard for the Saints because they can't win away from the Telstra Dome. I think we have the players to sink them, guys like (Insert four quality players) will just have too much skill and creativity over the course of four quarters.

Go (my team)!

Scary thing is they probably won't peak for another 3-5 years. Another Brisbane-like dynasty in the making here...

See, thats bull****. It is difficult if not impossible for teams to stay at the level the Saints are at for more than two years. The bombers could do it beyond 2000 - 2001.

Before you state the obvious, Brisbane has a depth of list allowed only through the extra $600 K or so they get in their salary cap.

They were saying the same **** about the Saints in '97, before they turned to dog**** again. They better win it this year, because they'll be bottom 8 in two years.

But we've opted for the dynastical approach this time.

So far, it's paying dividends.

Perhaps, but if you haven't doubled your premiership count by the end of September, it could remain static for a while to come.

Brisbane can beat St. Kilda but they'd want to get players back and firing before September. A long season can beat St.Kilda. History says St. Kilda can beat St.Kilda.

Swans will beat them.

Small ground, "real" weather, Sydney can shutdown any team.

What planet are you on man, or what year is it where you are:confused:

For the record, since around the 2nd pre-season game I have NOT bagged the Saints and they have been my tip for the premiership since about round 3.

I will not be ridiculed or have egg on my face when the Saints win their 2nd flag come september this year!

EDIT: BTW, Sydney is Australia's wettest capital city.. hows that for real weather!

Yawn.

History said we shouldn't have pantsed Essendon and Collingwood earlier this year. But we did.

Be careful St.Kilda. Remember West Coast the last 2 years. Started off the season in brilliant fashion, not 9 straight, but were labelled as a real premiership threat, but they managed to die off at the end of the season and not make it far in finals.

Port Adelaide have dominated Home and Away matches the last few years and they have choked in September.

Nah, don't be careful St Kilda. Just go out and be godly for as long as you can, and we'll bea..er..meet you in the finals. 100% safe wins for Saints!
