20 possesions, 4 tackles, 1 assist and a lovely goal.

ANother good game for Rhys, should be happy with himself seeing Jack was giving him a hard tag for most of the night.

Don't forget the 2 kicks he stuffed up in the last going into the forward 50 in the last.

Disposal letting him down AGAIN

Dont be so ignorant. The one that was directed at Pavlich happens 10 times a game and it only gets highlighted when it was him.

Neck and neck between Cyril and Palmer right now after todays games IMO.
Palmer gets more of the ball whereas Cyril is more silky and spectacular.
Last three games will decide it.

So whats his excuse been for the other games this year? Face it, the guy has problems with his kicking and hitting targets

Ibbotson will be a better player, Palmer will be another run of the mill player of the ilk of Carrazao and Chad Fletcher who will get plenty of the ball, but be let down by his disposal at the end.

And yet he's miles in front of the multitudes of 'guns' at wet toast.

After 1 year? Wow what a success!

Why don't we actually try doing a comparison when the kids have been in the system for awhile and not just base a decision on 15 game careers thus far.

Palmer had 15 contested possessions (most of any player by 4)

oh and 80% efficiency. He blazed away once in the last qtr...typical of people to look for the couple of errors he makes but who cares about winning 15 contested possessions against one of the hardest, strongest teams in the comp.

The efficiency thing is a load of bollocks. I counted about 5 kicks last week from Palmer that missed targets by lobbing in front of a leading Fremantle player or missed completely and he ended up with an 84% efficiency rating. shows how flawed the ratings are

And yet you're happy to bag Palmer and write him off based on 15 games? You can't have it both ways. If the others deserve time to show what they can do, Palmer deserves time to work on his disposal.

Hey he may improve his disposal and good luck to the kid if he can, I just can't believe the persistent wank fest over him and praising how good he is when he's still struggling with one of the key fundamentals of the game

You're only saying that because it shows up your hate for Fremantle. Pretty pathetic getting stuck into a first year player who has been the most impressive youngster in the competition this year.

What if you guys pick Rich and he starts off slowly...you'll be the first to defend him. Even worse if you pick Nat and most likely he will start off slowly and he'll cop it from even more.

His kicking isn't that bad that it stands out in a game. He gets it to a teammate or to their advantage more often than not.

No one is suggesting he's perfect, but you can't deny the fact he has had an exceptional season for a first year player and is clearly better than any of the others at this stage.

All this moaning from other supporters (Eagles, Richmond & Hawks) just sounds like sour grapes.

If Palmer doesn't win it then the system is wrong. While he didn't get that much game time last night, he was regularly winning the hard ball against a team which goes for it harder than most. As much as Hawks fans like to talk up Rioli, it should be to no avail as there is a gaping chasm between Palmer and the rest of the rising stars.
