What I have learnt about north this season is that they look a bit rubbish in the first half and then awesome in the third quater. I think they are definitely going to win

Quirk of the finals fixture means that whoever wins our Saturday game will play all their finals in Melbourne, so that's a plus. At the moment I just want to get over the first hurdle.

There's a lot of big IFs between North and a flag this year.
IF we beat the bombers we would play Hawthorn and Geelong - let's say its Geelong.
IF we beat Geelong we would (most likely) play Sydney in Sydney.
This would be tougher then the Hawks in a GF, but we have done it this year(by 43 points) so it's possible -especially with huge question marks over the Buddyman.
IF we beat the Swans in the PF(and even a 1 point win would do) we would (most likely) play he Hawks.
To me, this is where a combination of luck running out, experienced/classy/ determined GF opposition and sheer emotional exhaustion finally takes its toll. We lose it in a one-sided affair.
OR we turn up to play and grind out a historical win.
If we turn up four times in four weeks, we can win it. The problem for us as a group, is we regularly fail to turn up.
That is a bigger obstacle than the history. The history is daunting but remember 2007. The Pies made a prelim from 5th and ran the Amazing Cats to a 5 point result in the PF. Take Ottens last quarter out and the Pies win. The Pies would have mangled Port in the GF. Maybe not by 120 points but who cares?. They were a better team than North or Port that year - yet they finished 5th. We are a better team than 6th but it's still unlikely we win the flag.
I'm expecting a rematch of 2012, myself.
It's fun to dream tho.

Beat Essendon, knock off Geelong (the weakest top four side), beat Sydney (not that good at ANZ), beat Hawthorn (we match up okay against them).
It would require four weeks of our best football at about 1000 - 1 odds, but eh, doubt it.

If it's over here against the Dockers there will be a nice turnout of party faithful once again, have no doubt about that.
Like Round 6 this year (Anzac Day) when very few gave us a chance and we played a top game to win at Subiaco.

We are no chance of winning a flag this year we are too inconsistent to win another 3 high-intensity games against the best in a row, we could possibly beat Geelong on a good night but thats where it will end, need to secure the double-chance next year to have a hope, but congrats to the boys on a stirring win Friday night
