Can Port win a premiership under Ken Hinkley?

It really just points out how even (and shit) the comp overall is this year. Besides Sydney and Carlton, there aren't any other stand-out good teams. Geelong won this weekend and are 5th. If they'd lost, they'd be 10th. Plenty of teams are in a similar position. It makes the whole ladder below the first two feel really random. A lot of sides have had really shit runs of form yet are in the 8 or just outside it.
For that reason, too, fans of a number of clubs can hold out hope that if something clicks and they hit a purple patch, they could make the four and do well come September, and that applies to Port too.
I hear ya, and we're hopeful, but I think our poor % means we miss out

What a man! You can tell he loves his players but hates the pissants that call themselves port 'fans'.
Stitstain fanbase. Ken deserves so much better than what he cops. Ingrates!

Kenny is a star, when he salutes and lifts the cup on grand final day, I hope he emulates Mark Williams and does a few gestures on camera to stick it up his haters.

Maybe he should have built a squad that could do something after 12 years?

He can't because he's a bumpkin moron and a life long loser.

**** Geelong for lumping us with him. He's worse than 119 ever was.

Toss him in the greyhound annihilator
“Never tear us apart”.

What a joke.

They might be 9-6, but they have an Essendon-like % and if just 1 or 2 of those their four <1 goal wins went the other way, they'd be 8-7 or 7-8.

All 4 go the other way and he got sacked a month ago and didn't even coach the last one.

Exactly the same as last years 13 game streak which is the e only reason he was given another contract.

We weren’t playing well. We weren’t winning convincingly. We were trash for large parts and rode our luck like mad. We didn’t deserve to win 13 straight and without it, likely shouldn’t have even made finals.

6/13 of those wins were 10 points of under. One was the Houston goal after the siren which is probably a 1/50 chance and one was a failed shot after the siren against the swans that fell 30cm short.

We don’t ride our luck we lose 3-4 of those close ones. We don’t make finals. Ken doesn’t get extended.

He’s survived being sacked a good 4 times. Considering he’s the least successful coach in history, he’s also the luckiest.

Fluked his was through last years 13 which is the only reason he’s still here.

You cAnT sAcK hIm wHeN you wIn 13! We were bloody trash through most of those wins and that same game plan isn’t holding up again.

Won on the road tonight against a top 4 side.
Not easy to do.
Prior to this year, Port hadn't beaten a top 4 side on the road since 2015.

I declare I have never seen a more better motivator coach in the history of the game.

Craig is also a motivator coach but when all so said and done let's compare his lowest ladder position he takes Collingwood compared to kens. Even though he's got a flag it is not a big enough sample size to say he's a greatest motivator coach or better then Ken

Chris Scott is a tactical coach not a motivator coach

Completely outplayed Voss on Friday night. That's twice this season he's managed to travel interstate with backs against the wall where nobody thought they'd win, and win the game. The advantage he's got now is the team hasn't peaked too early as in previous seasons.

Big test next weekend against Sydney. Like most teams they just need to make the 8, then put out their best during finals.

So Ken has one win on the road against a top 4 side in nine years? I love you ken, please accept my apologies for those ungrateful Port supporters and never leave us….
