But GWS aren’t interested in this years picks, which is why 13 is up for trade, they want future picks for next year, and I’m betting they’d prefer ours on the premise they think Pies will finish higher.15 & 16 for 12 & 34

Exceptional runner …Harry Sharp?
But..?Exceptional runner …
Morons...just desperate for some content to 'journalist' about.OK So my FOMO is in overdive right now but this sums up what I also think:
‘I’d be taking the risk’: Blues’ confusing, conservative trade call could gift-wrap star to rivals

Do GCS even want Noble? If so why. Rioli, Powell, Uwland is fine for HBs. Why would they trade for a 28rd old who isn't a top 15 player at a club that hasn't made finals and wasn't in the team that last played finals.Totally delusional, as the Woods F1 could be around pick 13/14 itself meaning that Col think Noble is worth 23 & 29......fair bit of arrogance in that demand, and like you said GC need to be strong and tell em to get stuffed over that scenario!!!

2024 was a bad year for all our high profile targets including Martin due to injury.Interesting looking at the top 10 in our B&F:
5 of the 10 were top 15 picks (Cripps, Walsh, Weiters, Mckay, Curnow)
4 of the 10 were value trades (Newman, Hewett, Acres, Kennedy)
1 of the 10 another draftee (TDK)
None of our high profile trade targets (Gov, Saad, Cerra, Williams, Martin) featured.

No current season stats available
stump up pick 12 and it's irresponsible and 'Blues heading for list cliff edge' is the headline, accompanied by hindsight drafting efforts in three years time. They love spending other peoples money.
So Carlton's brain trust feel it is a better move to spend Pick 12 on an untried kid rather than a 2 x AA in Houston?
Am I reading this correctly..?
likely pick 12 and something else, plus a fairly big contract. So Carlton's brain trust feel it is a better move to spend Pick 12 on an untried kid rather than a 2 x AA in Houston?

Might be an idea to look at said kids in the mix before deciding that you've asked a rhetorical question. So Carlton's brain trust feel it is a better move to spend Pick 12 on an untried kid rather than a 2 x AA in Houston?

I see him as an upgrade/replacement for Newy (turning 32 next year).Might be an idea to look at said kids in the mix before deciding that you've asked a rhetorical question.
All-Australian selection can mean absolutely nothing in some cases, and frankly that's how I feel about Houston's dual effort. Good player, but not worth what's being asked, and not really a difference maker.
If we needed a player like Houston, we can just move Docherty to defence.
We're about to get Lucas Camporeale to replace Newman, and we've also got Cowan, Cincotta, and likely Monahan back there. We need raw speed in defence, and a key defender.I see him as an upgrade/replacement for Newy (turning 32 next year).
For years+ younger. Bigger unit.
And a much better, more penetrating kick.

He's been playing off HB most of the year, and I'm referring to a long-term replacement. We don't need an immediate replacement for Newman, who has done well to trim down and keep himself in the selection mix.you don't give a boy a man's job....
Lucas not ready for the NN role...
isn't he an outside mid/winger?
Rnd 2 and 3 of the rookie draft, cant say they haven't made a solid fist of it.I see him as an upgrade/replacement for Newy (turning 32 next year).
Four years+ younger. Bigger unit. More offensively minded.
And a much better, more penetrating kick.
