We could only consider 14 for 19&22 if we knew that guaranteed Houston otherwise we have downgraded our 1st and have another pick we don't need.

Also, no chance 19 & 22 gets Houston done. It would be 12 & 19 or 12 & 22.
If Houston nominates us as only Vic option and Port need the deal to get Lukosius, he'll cost us less

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is that now we are effectively out next draft, we don't have to worry about points for the Campos next year. We can just go into a points deficit and it will take the points off Brisbanes future 2nd. Wont be ideal, but its still much better than it taking points off a 1st.

We suddenly seem fairly aggressive and smart.

Not at Houston of course, but with our draft targets, which we've been adamant about

Or unless we trade picks for a player? ;)
FWIW - I think Port would be nuts not to pursue Lewis Young.

He is just what they need.

Their big weakness is talls at both ends of the ground plus back up ruck.

Young can all of these (taking up only 1 list spot)and at minimal cost.

Young is refusing to leave vic. He can always so no to a trade as he is contracted

Can Melbourne please sort out what the **** they are doing with Oliver, thinking it could be big for us, Kennedy would just make sense for them if/when they lose him.
A mid/late 2nd and a couple 3rds for Owies/Young would give us something really interesting to play with when u throw in 14.
Austin’s playing 3d chess, reckon there’s another ripper deal just waiting in the wings to go down

Interestingly - he’s just what we need also.

I think there’s more to him if we can increase his confidence.

He has Casboult vibes by foot - just as strong in the air.

Just can't understand this though...

We've given 34 in a deeper draft for an F2 that'll likely be in the 40's of a weaker draft...

And given 66 for 73... so we've moved back there too...

The only positive is, now we can realistically table F1 + F2 to GC for 13...

Hopefully that's the plan...
You were nearly right B_F :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:

Does this mean we will 'win' the Trade Period :tearsofjoy:

'Carlton pulled off the coup of this year’s trade period when it landed pick 14 from Hawthorn'

Is there a direct correlation from “winning the Trade period” to winning finals?

Asking for an ESS supporting friend ;) ;);)
