Jeff Garletts son.

He’s taken on his mothers maiden name.

Father Son and Academy’s finally starting to pay dividends….has the club had Jeffy and Nason down yet with the academy?

It's traditionally not a promising sign of the father/son bond when they go out of their way to take their mother's name, but I suppose I'm speculating on how irreconcilable any differences were.

The league will shit itself thinking we might get another good F/S, after Cody Walker, and change the F/S rules again but this time to 150 games.

Nason Lovett-Murray played in Under 12 Victoria rep side so you would think that he would get invited down to the Carlton academy if he is interested. Promising signs early but a long way to go until his draft year.

Initially I was thinking there's little chance Nason would want to come, unless he is close with his Dad - but even then I'm not sure how strong the bond is with Jeffy & Carlton. Just from the outside it seemed he enjoyed his time with Melb more than us, at least in his last yr or 2 with us, and I've not ever seen pics/articles of Jeffy around the club.

However, after reading the chart, seeing that Lewy Betts is in the same draft yr as Nason, makes me think there's a chance that they could want to play together given Garlett & Betts relationship & Betts reputation broadly.

We just have to hope Lewy chooses us over Adelaide...

He left us on bad terms though the best times of his career were also with us.

If we invest time into Nason and get him involved in the fs academy I think thered be a strong chance he nominates us. I wonder how early we do that?

Would guarantee he stays in his home state and plays at a big club. Otherwise he just goes in a lottery. Could go anywhere.

Plenty of fs players have gone to clubs their dads left on bad terms. Look at the 2 we just got.

As far as Eddies son, his parents both live in melbourne as does he. Big tick for us.
