Ben watched with keen eyes, apparently injured.Anyone know how the Campos tested for 20ms and the 2km
As do I. My grandfather played for them in the SANFL before the AFL came around. Anyone from Gelenelg is a good get afaicKane also has a soft spot for the Glenelg boys.
Unless the draft rules have changed from previous year, clubs can match a bid on a F/D in the next round as long as it’s within 16 picks of its last pick…
Currently Sophie is rated around 7th on the national rankings list, if the team finishes around 4th last, there may be a chance we can pick up another top end player before the bid comes in for her…
Something that the club is in desperate need of, talented high quality players, Sara Howley a very quick high possession midfielder who can go forward and impact the scoreboard as well is ranked in the top 5 also…
Both McKay and Howley would strengthen our forward half scoring besides also being midfield stars…
We’d have to loose every remaining game to be any chance of getting near Centra, definitely an absolute gun…I would tank the rest of the season to get Ash Centra alongside Sophie McKay.
She looks an absolute class above any other prospect I’ve seen.

Are the f/d nomination rules still the same?I would tank the rest of the season to get Ash Centra alongside Sophie McKay.

Or have the new AFL head honcho’s changed them again?
so pretty likely thenWe’d have to loose every remaining game to be any chance of getting near Centra, definitely an absolute gun…
Sadly it does seem a bit like that. Realistically a chance against Dogs and Pies who are around our level, but would have to be outsiders for Freo and Donsso pretty likely then
Not too good. After watching a bunch of Oakley highlights from the CTL to get a better view of Jagga and FOS, I have noticed Jack Ison, number 31 a couple times and thought his work was clean. Good mover with some nice hit-up kicks. Think he could have a good season next year.

Also Sturt being my Dad's team. Helps they feel like a sister club to Carlton being the Double Blues with a similar insignia.

BEN CAMPOREALE
Glenelg, 186cm inside midfielder
“He hasn’t done a lot wrong in the last three years. They’re rangy boys, the pair of them (Camporeale twins). He’s a really competitive beast who can play half-back or win the contested ball in the midfield. He does all the fundamentals well and doesn’t fumble it. His kicking will get better in a full-time environment. His hands are terrific. He had a great game at the MCG last year as a 17-year-old then had a terrific year this year. The bid will come, we just don’t know when because there’s sometimes a bit of cat and mouse with that.”
LUCAS CAMPOREALE
Glenelg, 184cm wingman
“The wing is a real specialist role these days where you have to have discipline to play wide, be the outlet and work your backside off, and I think he’s got every bit of that. He’s a good user of the ball on his left foot. He’s a different type to his brother but they might complement each other pretty well. His ball-winning ability to get over in the right spots is a trait you need in every team. Again, we don’t know where the bid comes, but Carlton will be looking forward to getting both the brothers into their footy club.”
I could see that.I believe Lucas's traits might transition better to AFL level than Ben's

"Comes from a great family"Shifter didn’t sprinkle in a couple of “he’s a ripping young lad” in his assessments?
Fair take.I could see that.
Lucas plays that wing role really well. Its a role lots of players struggle with. Plus the best players don't play wing so he can be the 16th-24th best player on the list and get a game. Could also play half back.
I think Ben is onball or bust. His inside work is ridiculous so I back him to make it but competition will be stiff. It's where all the best players play. I don't think his traits suit anywhere else unless his kicking improves significantly.
Fair take.
I may be seeing something that isn't there but I believe there's some scope for Ben, with a bit of development, to fill Newman's role if spots in the midfield prove hard to come by.
