It's quite amazing how much impact injuries have when your club has zero depth.

Who would have thought?
And here we are on this planet, thinking we'd heard it all before, just thinking it was an emotionally driven and pre-emptive backdown to maintain some sort of shallow dignity in the likely event of a string of losses, from weak minded individuals....

They sure showed us.

The unfortunate thing for Carlton is there have been 6 other finals contenders materially improve their lists, who are also expecting internal improvement.

Good luck.
You are just making my point. One list addition isn't enough to bank finals. Need improvement across the whole list. Nevertheless to say we haven't improved the 22 is incorrect which is what I was referring to

Without Walsh you’ve probably worsened it?
I thought the poster was referring to list changes. If we take into account injuries its hard to tell because we don't know when these players will be back. If Walsh is back after a month and its just Williams from the best 22 out then its still significantly better then 2022. However we are only in Feb

You mean being consistent with my initial point. If its just logic why do I have three people replying with disagreements and laugh reacts
Clearly because your views are not bordering on the periphery of cringe based satire, rather you are the only concious being on the planet and we are all figures of your imagination.

Also, your team has some sort of important destiny to fulfill.

"just Williams"?

That guy who's on $5m over 6 years?

Exactly the sort of guy I'm talking about, ie (very) good player who is injury-prone

Pretty nice to have him on one back flank with Saad on the other

Ah well...

Seriously bringing up salary payments while paying 2 guys 600K + to play against you?

Hilarious 😂

Obviosuly he is a significant loss. One of my favourite players and would have serious impact alongside Saad. When I said "just" I was implying that it was one serious injury from someone in our best 22. In 2022 it was Williams plus a heap more. However, like I said it is just Feb which is concerning

You guys want Weitering fit and firing also. Big loss when he went down

Yeah, 12 options to rotate through the forward line capable of kicking 30 goals each surely can't work...
You had 2 players kick 30 goals in 2022, but you’re trying to tell me you have “12 capable” of doing that this year.

Reality says that you’ll be lucky to have 3 or 4 players who kick 30 in 2023.
