Clarkson the sniper will never forgive him, glad he isn't going to coach us.

And we'd have paid mega-bucks for the "privilege", with no certainty that he would be able to replicate with us what he did at Horthawn. Clearly Clarko didn't believe he could do it all again, content to stay where he knows he has the job for pretty much as long as he wants it. The orcs aren't ever going to sack a 4-time premiership coach, unless they totally bottom out. But he'd be under a lot more pressure at Carlton and he knows it.

Cat Scratch Fever - Cats Down Disappointing Blues in Season Finale

Our latest and last podcast of the regular season is now available to listen to. To listen, click on the most appropriate media player links for you.

Again, please feel free to provide any feedback you have.

Not the performance we wanted in our last game but onwards and upwards for 2020!

NEWLY appointed Carlton coach David Teague is looking forward to making a few minor tweaks to the Blues' gameplan during his first pre-season in charge at the club.

Teague beat a strong field earlier this month to win the top job at the Blues and says he will use the next few weeks putting some minor changes to the gameplan his players learned under the tutelage of Brendon Bolton.

Well done

Ah, the narrative changes...
what's dvi mean? he's turned a sport into a bunch of confusing numbers - all the best with his future analyzing but include me out...........

He's right, getting Goniglio for nothing was the key to a quick rise up the ladder. If i'm wrong and we are going to be good enough to contest a finals spot then it's largely going to come from what we already have. The worst thing we can do is go into to the draft with three picks past fifty. We need to give ourselves a chance with each pick. We aren't good enough yet, and the players listed won't make big enough of a difference.

Draft Value Index, the breaking down of a trade into the points value assigned by draft picks.

Part of the problem with Champion Data's business model is that it encourages two bit mathematicians to make their own little metrics. If they let the stats become publicly known or at least accessible without paying 150 thousand dollars a year for a subscription, then we would be left with far, far less nonsense. Even the author - although, in his original article - suggests there's flaws with examining individual trades with this metric, but that it could be useful extrapolated across a club's trade period; so, basically the way SOS has looked at trades and drafting since he turned up.

Small wonder, given the statistical bent of the examination, that the article is far more positive than most published on the Roar.

Appreciate the authors attempt however why are they using AFLCA awards as a measurement in terms for bang for buck? Votes are always dominated by midfielders.
Because they can't pay for CD, so could be that they have to rely on a public measure of achievement. Could go from supercoach scores, but we could criticise that too.
