This. We have played patches in the season to date.
Not sure I want to see Kennedy in that list, while there are others that should be there. Kennedy and Cerra were uncharacteristically poor. Been around to consider things like gastro in the twos or Cerra flat after premature Covid return?
Those two are proven players, the loss of our midfield bruisers in Pitto and Crippa surely could have had an effect, but feel likely is more to it.

We are poor at ball retention. Missed targets often as much on the potential receivers as the kickers. We still have players happy to “do their bit” and not follow up. The classic example was a Plow forward handball to a mate with a little space, but surrounded by opposition demanding quick disposal. No one moved up field and severely exacerbated by Plowman sitting back and not following up to give his mate an option or draw a player. It was pi55 poor.

I am glass half full, we are coming, big time. Similarly I see flawed players enjoying loyalty based on name, hype or connection and/or investment. They have been OK, even good in the first few games, but have flaws lending that they be passed up for better options developing. Details of which I will explore in a different thread soon.
Tag me I'd like to read your thoughts. I enjoy them.

I can only hope Kennedy had gastro or similar. It did cross my mind that something mightve run through the team like bad hotel food or something, don't like handing out the excuses that much anymore though. Grow tired of excuses for carlton. Just want to see marked consistent improvement. 😁

Jeez, and to think on here people were questioning why Liam Stocker left the hub (Carlton should trade him was a popular one) and then the following year “I don’t think Liam Stocker is liked by his teammates”, “no one celebrated his first goal with him” etc. 🤦‍♂️

Stockers honesty is moving .. I actually think the club and his family support group should be commended but most importantly shows how strong he is to accept help and not run from the problem ... probably end up the hardest midfielder to play HBF since worsfold - I rate him that highly ..
pretty sure woosher was a backman but yeah, tough as teak......

Could out run you, out tough you, out muscle you and out think you...would thrive with any team in any era.
You forgot "out jump you". Some of his marks and marking attempts were ummmm, special (to channel McAvaney). :)

Where can non free-to-air folks see Front Bar eps? I've always meant to ask that.

Started believing he was a midfielder as were most of the flanks of that side . He has even stated that himself .. probably the most underachieving side that won two premierships ever
Thought you were talking about Woosher there. Confusing.
