these self indulgent wank fests make me laugh - cause we need these sort of over-hyped garbage events to discover fitzpatrick was a fabulous player .....

I like reading about their stories of clubs and other players, and finding out about the Bill Dempsey's of the world.

Made it to the second round of our Carlton GOAT contest - wonder which he holds in higher esteem...

He wasn't just on guesSEN and didn't sound like a humble, noble fella. Didn't listen so can't confirm.

I didn't get to watch him play, too young. These over-hyped garbage events are pieces of history younger fans need to contextualise what our club was like before we were around.

really good point which I failed to see............also, go and get ******, think I'm mostly against the ridiculous hyperbolic descriptors they use - can see them sitting there now in their meeting rooms "let's see now, what's even BIGGER & BETTER than Legend?"

My first Grand Final I was 10 years old - I remember waving a Carlton jumper around after ever goal - boy was my arm tired.

:p

It’s really weird even though I remember going to the game with my dad and sister and waving my jumper around - in my mind I only remember it in “black & white” not colour, probably because the DVD is in black and white.
in the 1970 grand final half of it was in black and white ... so happy colour won out that day!

Weiters on 10 news tonight. Rehab going well 15 days from operation. Optimistic would be StKilda but realistic west coast.

Alex Marcou also interviewed ahead of 40th reunion. Looking at a big night. I still think that the sealer that he kicked on the run in the 82 premiership was geometrically the straightest goal ever kicked. If you had drawn a straight line from where he kicked it and allowed for the ball shape there would not have been one millimetre that went outside that line. Strange thing to remember so clearly.
