I love these stories.

Not every AFL player is an elite footballer at 18yo.

Now that he's worked his way AFL level, you assume he won't take anything for granted.

He can make a career of just being a freakish kick without any other standout attributes. Matt Suckling did it.

Just get it in his hands as much as possible, he will break teams open either delivering inside 50 or hitting that corridor kick. Need to keep playing him.

No doubt his kicking is his best attribute but he's also got a bit of mongrel and seems to have good decision making.

His pass to Harry inside 50 in the last quarter of last week was deadset elite. 40-50m kick, cleared all the congestion to get it to the open space, yet was weighted perfectly to where his target was moving

of course Saad has both acceleration and speed

And elite body positioning
And unbelievable one-on-one strength
And incredible aerial contest for his size
And an amazing beard
And....

And, after Thursday night, the ability to do it all with one eye.

Barrett reckons we are a chance for the flag if things go right for us. Injuries etc.

Pulling a Bulldogs he said

I’ve been accused of being a negative poster around these parts for many years - but I really believe we are a realistic chance of a flag this year given the evenness of the of the top 8 this year - even a half decent run with injuries from now until September and we’re in it up to our neck.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves we could also very easily be outside the 8 in 9 days time.

Such is the evenness of the competition I’d say 10 teams right now could say they would win the flag if everything went right.
