Weiters on 10 news tonight. Rehab going well 15 days from operation. Optimistic would be StKilda but realistic west coast.

Alex Marcou also interviewed ahead of 40th reunion. Looking at a big night. I still think that the sealer that he kicked on the run in the 82 premiership was geometrically the straightest goal ever kicked. If you had drawn a straight line from where he kicked it and allowed for the ball shape there would not have been one millimetre that went outside that line. Strange thing to remember so clearly.

Going to be a Fabulous night.

Summed it up very well. I love how they never give in!
I think we made the right call with Vossy - and liked the way he referenced the Newnes goal 'AFL 'logic'....
also when Bolton's lairising was put up I also liked teh way he batted it away saying - I'll leave the Richmond coach to coach his players.

I noted a few of the usual suspects dogging one too many contests last night when I had teh mongrel radar on - but I will refrain from comments regarding the obvious.

Happened right front of us where I was sitting in the old Northern Stand - I remember this one in colour.

:p

Kane Cornes suggested with our depleted backline we move Charlie to the backline.

He would certainly be athletic and quick enough. Save goals or kick goals, that is the question.

I'd like to trial JSOS back there. Has the leap to stop forwards marking but needs to be at the ball drop, not coming in late, as he won't have the reach.

Or Mirkov in and TDK back.

Or JSOS rucking more and TDK resting back.

Think this very easily answers itself.

The only way I'd ever move him back is if all the KPD's went down early in the season.

By the time he learns the position, it'd be time to switch him back. I just don't see the point.

I'd like our key defenders to all be fit at once.

I can dream big, can't I?

Just saw Buzz on the Front Bar. One of my childhood playing hero’s. A true Aussie legend battling on. Much love, Buzz!
Buzz was the best pure half forward flank, his only position, to play for carlton. He almost invented the concept of a pressure fwd to go along with one of the great highlights package. If you pick a best ever carlton side based on position, the buzz should be half fwd flank

That would be an unbelievably stupid decision.

Yet, an ultimately pragmatic, if unconventional one, provided Harry can hold the fort and our mosquito fleet fowards can keeping going their.

Kornes can be a troll and extremely annoying at times, actually think he might be on the money tbh.

We have seen Charlie flourish in the midfield/wing and other parts of the ground in the past..

Think it's a move worth discussing, and being open minded about at least for while , instead of downright dismissing it outright cause Kornes brought it up

We haven’t had too many better half forward lines than Johnston - Maclure - Bosustow.

I didn't dismiss it because Cornes mentioned it. Just think we finally have him fit and playing well in a position (leading the Coleman) and we want to uproot that and play him down back where A) he would never match size wise to any key forward (only 192cm) and B) has never played there before. Would much rather give Kemp a run who is a similar height anyway
