Crazy how Brisbane won the flag after injecting 5 players under 21 in their team.

Or how Collingwood took the leap as soon as Daicos came in.

Or how Geelong went from 12th to 2nd after adding a bunch of kids.

Kids & internal investment literally take clubs to the next level. Not continual recruiting of journeymen.
Geel had a massive injury list in 2023, which they avoided in 2024 that explains the improvement- not kids.
ND is great and was cream on the cake.
BNE - were runners up before injecting kids.

Awwwwwww your so clever. Carlton's list has gone backwards. Very few players on your list are capable of winning a prelim let alone a Granny. Close to the worst list in the league. So many clubs have a multitude of players who can stand up and win Prelims and Carlton do not.
Cmon Einstein, give us one of those bold fadge-like predictions as to where you think Carlton will finish in 2025. We could do with a prediction giggle . Going off the tone of your posts, Carlton finish around 16th , yeah ? Be brave

Listen to any Geelong player talk about 2024 before the year it was all about excitement around bringing in kids. In particular Dangerfield.

Daicos was not simple ‘cream on the cake’. Generational players are not ‘cream on the cake’ . Describing him as that is genuinely insulting to the young prince. You were 17th before he arrived.

Exactly, Brisbane were close, very close. Bought in kids with some refreshing changes and shit in the flag, looks like they’ve extended their window another 3-4 years by doing so as well.

Love the argument of ‘we have players who know how to win flags’.

So did Richmond this year - they had 15 premiership players running around each week.

West Coast weren’t dissimilar the past few years.

Injecting LOL

Brisbane had 22 players play 15 or more games for them in 2024 - of the 22, 18 were above 24.

They "injected" Ashcroft, Wilmot and Fletcher in 2023, when they didnt win the flag.

Brisbane have a team full of quality senior players. They have their draft picks from 2015-17 - Hipwood, McCluggage, Berry, Bailey, Rayner, Starcevic - who are now quality senior players.

But Brisbane also value attracting quality senior talent - Neale, Cameron, Dunkley, Daniher, Ah Chee, Fort, McCarthy, Hodge, Adams, Lyons, Birchall, Gunston...

Probably why Brisbane has a premiership and 4 additional top4 finishes in the last 6 years after they rebuilt from 2015.

Carlton started rebuilding at the same time, have Brownlows, Colemans but no top4 finish.

Lmao according to who? You're list is absolutely ancient, even more so than in 2023.

Pies will be lucky to make the 8 next year given the injury likelihood of 33-36 year olds. Fancy having a list full of critical players in that age bracket 😂😂😂

According to the fact our list has multiple Premiership players, and your list has SFA

I will happily predict. I have stated that Carlton do not have the list to win a Prelim or a Grand Final. So my prediction is Carlton will not win a Prelim or Grand Final.

Erm, Ashcroft didn’t play in 2023. Neither Ashcroft or Lohman played, both of them were in the top 5 players on GF day this year - you reckon they win the flag without them?

Of course 18 of them are over 24, every premiership team is mature, it’s almost always balanced out with a group of gun kids though. Teams take the next step when they have 5-6 quality kids running around instead of journeymen battlers.

Your idea that the premiership team every year is full of bona fide gun senior players is fundamentally wrong.
