Aside from the fact Collingwood have won more finals games than any other team in the history of the competition, you would be right...
Just out of curiosity, which team has lost the most finals in the history of the completion, and for bonus points, which team has the best strike rate of winning grand finals once they get to the big dance out of Carlton and Collingwood ?

Carlton spends their year whinging about injuries and then they ditch one of their only players who played every game. They have problems with small forwards, and they ditch their leading small forward goalkicker and then they plan on drafting the most injury prone youngster in the draft. They have not one youngster 24 and under that can play. Their list has gone so far backwards that it is ridiculous.
Cmon bud, you're better than that. Pies have Nick, and then it's crickets for the under 24s. And once he hits 24 soonish, it definitely will be no one because there won't be any on the list that's under that age bracket

Having Dan and Saad would have been a headache for oppo teams, could just move Newman to a wing.
Thank **** Dan isn't there hitting up Mckay down the ground or launching one on the run straight to Curnow's advantage up forward. :thumbsu:
Are you not concerned about your total lack of youth coming through and the fact that you have no currency for kids for atleast a couple of years?

Blues will be far far better placed with a younger overall team + pick 3 + Walker on the way.

Blues fans are down with it though. Why pick up a guaranteed star player who fits their side perfectly when they can roll the dice and pick up Sam Walshes injured cousin. Makes total sense
We also picked up a slow Paddy Cripps and a kid with a broken leg called Curnow. I think they will be ok with whoever they choose. It's more of a raffle once the draft number hits the 50 mark

You're right in the window. You have the Campo twins and Walker on the way. Don't really need picks if you want that flag in the next few years. Maybe salary cap issues prevented the trade, who knows.

Out of curiosity, who are Carlton's fantastic under 24's?

When you play in the most finals, and win you most, you also lose the most.

It's pretty basic mathematics.

Carlton's strategy to avoid playing in too many finals so as they don't lose more finals than Collingwood is working well for them!

At Carlton it's De koning and then crickets in a paddock of spuds.

Fun Fact:

Carlton have only lost 7 finals since the turn of the century, compared to Collingwood's 17 finals losses.

That makes Carlton a far superior finals performer than Collingwood over that time (according to some).

But it's not all bad news for Collingwood supporters....

Geelong have lost 22 finals over the same time, so at least we're not as 'bad' as them!

That’s crazy man, so cool.

But maybe it’s time to go touch some grass? You’ve spent all weekend here.

So you agree that putting all chips in for a single high draft pick is a dumb strategy.👍
No mate it's a high stakes strategy, we pick a winner we're laughing and if we pick a loser you're laughing.

And yet we've still won a flag and contended for 3 others since then, despite that bad draft decision.

Carlton meanwhile...
Yes you did but the conversation wasn't about flags it was about drafting which i understand that Pie supporters would know nothing about.
