I see O’Kearney playing for Essendon. im told by someone who knows him and his Mum and Dad that he was to play for Carlton but the club stuffed up its number so he went back to Keillor and was signed by Essendon last Wednesday. He’s a former listed AFL player. How could the Club have got that wrong, especially as he was previously listed for the Northern Bullants until he was up injured?

Indeed, adrenal insufficiency (Addison's disease). Did I hear them say he had glandular fever? Serious infections can contribute to adrenal insufficiency, with the adrenals being responsible for key hormone production including cortisol, adrenaline and aldosterone.

He might be a classic case of being too good for VFL but not having quite enough tricks for AFL...
