I took that photo on Cable Beach, Broome, last night.

She was still hanging around at dawn  . I was exhausted.

Hope I'm not name dropping. Two of my drinking mates at the old Lynda Cres Social Club were, Joe Brown long-time ABC racecaller and John Landy, long-time Ch7 sportscaster. Others regulars in our group: Mark Walker owner of Walker's Stores, Glenferrie and Coburg and Brian Crimmins, the area police superintendent and dad of the legendary Peter. There was an age difference but I got on well with them.

Don't forget Shirl - he was classic doing the lotto draws back in the 80's hew was like "no.23 Dermy's number big game this week for Dermy"

He was gold:thumbsu:

Sorry MccHawk, i just remembered that she helped the saints with their training a few years ago, and the marketing department had photos of her in a saints tracksuit.

St Kilda has generated much hype this pre-season and yesterday leading athlete Tamsyn Lewis and UK track legend Sebastian Coe were at training. Saints players trained with Lewis and Coe in London recently and they were repaying the visit.

Johhny Famechon, legendary Australian boxer loved the Hawks. Never missed being back at the club after games on Saturday nights.

As a schoolboy I was a regular training watcher. I remember a big night when Gary Crosby, Bing's crooner son, visited training and was photographed with Candles Thompson, our 7 foot ruckman of the time. I think the pic is on display in the Hawks' Museum. Gary was made a shared number one ticket holder.

Sorry for this guys and gals, but I would like to let you know that I was named after another famous Yankee, Gary Cooper. My mum, bless her soul (a great Hawks supporter), was in love with him as he frequented the silver screen in her youth.

Those were the days when Aussies loved the Yanks. I think we still do. It is just war mongering Bush and his administration we hate.

Sorry, the XXXX is getting me off the subject.

Yes, Hawkk, I'll take your advice. Oh damn it there's, eighteen ice cold stubbies still left ..... hmmm, how can I get rid of them  .
