Yes I think we're at a point where we can have the upmost faith in Sonja she hasn't put a foot wrong, in fact everything she's done has advanced the club's cause, if she feels Demetriou is the right choice then we back her decision 100%.
Love what Sonja has done, but....................

Nope. We are about to hit the best years of our history since 2007. There is just no way that c==t is hitching on to our band wagon. I couldn't think of anything worse than seeing him celebrate a premiership as our CEO. It's just so wrong.

I know, I completely get it, I'm not advocating his appointment but I'm backing Sonja. She has every right to harbour an intense hatred of Demetriou, she was so vocal during the AFL's relocation push. I just can't see her appointing him unless she truly believes it's the best thing for the North Melbourne Football Club.

I hear you.

North supporters will always harbor some resentment towards AD, but reality is if he gets through Sonja & Clarko, he should have our backing.

He'll have my backing alright

Poor ol' Sonja clearly doesn't realize that if you invite a vampire into your house, garlic no longer works as a repellent

He does tick boxes when you're looking for 'pros'. Strong personality to compliment Viney and Clarko. Knows the ins and out of the industry and everyone's secrets. Must have some administrative nous to get where he has too. Ex-North so while he might not have lived the values since leaving, he does know them.

Gee it's ****ing hard to get over the 'cons' though.

Could be his long term master plan to get us relocated. Failed from the outside so will do it from the inside!

Seriously though his experience is exactly what we are after.... but his actions were reprehensible.

Everyone deserves redemption (except * and Poort supporters) but just so hard to see him building trust amongst the wider club and fan base.

If you can't trust your CEO you are stuffed.

I'm sure he'd talk a compelling case. But it's a no from me.

Others have comparable experiences and skills without the baggage.

So by all means pick his brain and leverage his insights but then ask him to shut up and buy a membership.

Yep, completely understand this side of the argument too.

Essendon and North Melbourne sounded out Collingwood chief executive Mark Anderson for their vacant top jobs before he resigned from the Magpies after five seasons in charge.

Anderson is understood to be weighing up whether to remain in football or start fresh in another industry after he departs Collingwood on November 16.

The Magpies were aware of the approaches to Anderson from their rivals but were unsure whether Anderson would land at Tullamarine or Arden St when he tendered his resignation to president Jeff Browne.

Be very disappointed if Demetriou ever stepped foot inside as CEO. He tried to actively kill us off - and that's not even his least attractive quality. His time at Crown is shrouded in questions and that is a deplorable, unethical business to start with.

He did everything he could to destroy us. Is this his Get Smart moment? Hey guys, hope I wasn't out of line with that sending you to the Gold Coast campaign.

There is a passage of time element to it though. He's also had his life kind of fall apart a bit since he quit the AFL.

If he can sell the story of trying to redeem himself its at least worth listening to.

He has to be genuine about it though which is where Sonja and the board come in.

Or, maybe the Collingwood job is more appealing to him.

And we take Euge back.
