On the other hand we are quickly getting games into De Goey (41) Aish (50) Phillips (16) Broomhead (29) Hoskin Elliot (63) Maynard (40) Moore (37) Ramsay (16) Smith (28) Schade (28) and Cox (15)

Not to mention Scharenburg and Crocker, and Langdon returning from injury and Keeffe and Thomas from suspension

So theres plenty of next generation depth who have a decent amount of experience. Injuries shouldnt matter as long as we dont lose our superstars.

That's what we've been saying for the last 3 years and you'd have thought we might actually be building a strong 40-100 games grouping but there aren't as many in that cluster as I'd like and a few are struggling or have struggled with injuries. Fas, (91), Grundy (73), Elliott (80), Langdon (46), Adams (86), Aish (50), Keeffe (40), Sinclair (63), Maynard (40), WHE (63), Crisp (73).

The old "thats what we've been saying for years" trick

Third time Ive fallen for it this week!!!

Our midfield bats pretty deep and is pretty awesome at the top end. KPP's and talls work in progress but Moore and Grundy are a pretty good start.

List can handle injuries better than it could in the past 2-3 seasons imo

Out: Goldsack, Elliot, Wells
In: Langdon, Fasolo, Aish

Goldsack is a big out, selfless player with so much experience.

We need someone to step into his place so I have gone for an outside chance Langdon will return. He's been back in the VFL team for a month and continues to show improvement. It shows initiative by the selectors if he's picked to see what he produces on the big stage.

You clearly dont understand football or player management if you want to play musical chairs.

And yes the tackle was awful. How many young players have made embarrassing decisions over the years? Almost all of them!!!

I didn't suggest we play musical chairs. I suggested we drop a player who basically wasn't present. The fact that he just came in is a coincidence. I"m aware too much change in a lineup can be disrupting, but given he isn't a first 22 mainstay, I don't see the issue.

This is where we disagree then. I think it should be a very rare occurrence where you drop players after a single game (unless they only came in temporarily to cover for injuries suspension etc) . Its not the way to develop players confidence and empower them to improve.

And as for him not being a first 22 mainstay..........name an available specialist forward who is!!!! Currently we only have Moore (and hes spending some of his time in the ruck). Its not as if anybody is demanding Crockers spot. Hence the musical chairs comment. Its nonsense to suggest dropping him.

It all comes down to how we handle Jeffy Garlett in the forward 50. We seem to struggle with pace within our forward line and from stoppages too.
Only reason Freo was close to us on the scoreboard was coz of Walters.
Also hopefully Gawn doesn't play, Grundy should dominate against watts or Pederson.
Just have to stop the ball over the top to Gartlett to run into an open goal.

Has Kirby been selected yet?

Surely we can break AFL rules and named our squad a few day early, I can't wait, the anticipation is killing me.

Would not Shock me IF he does NOT get Picked because of Fitness Reasons;)

Was De Goey and he put a bit of venom into the kick as well
No, it was Broomhead when he missed his snap at goal. They replayed it several times.
