Based on what? Your opinion? If any other player had gone back and averaged high 20 touches a game they would be complimented.

Langdon being a poor ball user is a myth. He is a good ball user, not great but definitely good. No player in their first 50 games as a rebounding defender doesnt turn the ball over a bit. Its a high pressure position. See our learnered opinions on pretty much every young guy we have ever brought into the backline. I mean heath shaw was ripped on for years and he is pretty much the premier rebounding half back over the past decade. Dane Rampe? Alex Rance?

The answer is panicky nervous collingwood fans who know jack shit about the game see one turnover and think that player has hopeless disposal and cant kick. Nearly all the players can kick, its decision making that sets them apart. Knowing their limitations and placing the ball to advantage. Langdon generally does this well.
Maynard another "improved" disposal example - only 20 yrs old

Given Langdon has done little and Schade is a more like for like fit for Goldsack, and has greater match fitness, I find it a really perplexing selection decision.
Think Langdon who missed a year has been good in the last two VFL matches and is probably just a much better player than Schade. When fit he is best 22 I reckon and I could see the MC being keen to get him back in the 22.

Why the hell would you want Crisp out? He played a cracking game last week, gave us some real drive from half ba.....

Oh, Dave... you want Crisp dropped for Aish... I know he's your favourite, but that's just silly. Wouldn't it make more sense to hope Ramsay was dropped if you want Aish in?
ZERO chance of Crisp being dropped - ZERO

Experience isn't really measured that way. Wells isn't three times the Loss that Elliot is just because he's played three times as many games....

Better to look at average age and also the number of players who have played less than 20 games. On that score you can't really call this team especially young or inexperienced.
Hmmm.
I personally wouldn't be classifying someone who has played 20 games as experienced.

Tom Mcdonald has been playing foward along with Watts. We won't need a tall backline for those who wanted the inclusion of schade.

Dunn to Mcdonald
Scharenberg or Langdon to Watts

The ins seem obvious .. fasolo, Langdon and Brown. Greenwood will tag on the ball and Brown will play forward perhaps. Great to see Faz back already. Hope he has a big one and gets that Fazzy strut back.

Yep.

Fasolo in for Elliott
Brown in for Wells
Langdon in for Goldsack

B - Langdon Dunn Maynard
HB - Smith Howe Scharenberg
C - Crisp Pendlebury Sidebottom
HF - WHE Moore Greenwood
F - DeGoey Fasolo Brown
R - Grundy Adams Treloar
INT - Phillips Ramsay Broomhead Crocker

Greenwood to play a defensive forward role on Hunt/Hibberd.

Would almost be tempted to bring in Aish/Mayne for Crocker as well.

Massive. Massive game.

It would be awesome if Fas took a grab 30 metres out directly in front 10 mins into the first quarter. Goes back, lines up and nails the set shot straight through the middle. Monkey straight off the back, the boys rush in and get around him.

If that happens we will win.

Sorry if it's been mentioned but when does the side get finalised? 5 this evening like Sunday games or not until tomorrow? You would imagine today being that the seconds will be playing tomorrow.

Usually 5pm Saturdays for QB games...

Bringing in Cox would be a huge mistake.

Vince will go to Pendlebury so Greenwood should go to Jones

Much as I am a fan of Cox, on this occasion I agree it's best to abstain.

Aish had Not Been Poor:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

He had been closer to poor than good.

I believe he would have struggled to keep his spot. He has been largely dissappointing. This comment coming from someone who grew up supporting Norwood and watching his father and uncle play. I would like him to succeed, but looking less likely as time goes on.

Problem with Vince is he can stop someone and still get plenty of possessions himself. Someone reported has has polled 11 Brownlow votes in the last 4 games against us. If he goes to Pendlebury then he should take him to the goal square and try to expose him defensively.

He's tagged Pendles the last 3 games and been Best on in those 3 games because Pendles hasn't worked hard enough the other way.

Kinda hoping that doesn't happen again.
