I think Greenwood could play the role Ziebell and Cunnington did on Cripps today, thats keep him to minimal possessions, and you take away Carlton strength immediately. Don't think height becomes a factor, when your just preventing him space to work in.
Wells has been named in the best players two consecutive weeks. I think his body of work has been quite good over the past month.

Happy to disagree.

In: Cox

Out: Adams (injured)

Be something as simple as this and they’ll give the threesome of Cox, Reid, Mihocek a whirl.

To me Cox is a definite in. That simple.

Emergencies will be interesting (assuming they really name the next 4 cabs they looking at).
I’ll also assume Wells isn’t yet ready though Aish is interesting, is he ready? I’ll assume yes but he’ll be unlucky.

Wills, Crocker, Aish, Varcoe.
Doubt Crocker will be an emergency unless he has ripping form at training. His calf was listed as a test last week and with no VFL game it's hard to justify putting him as an emergency.

Oh. You would be right then.
My bad.
Someone else be named then say Lynch or Goldsack.

Out: Maynard (Omitted), Adams (Injured)

In: Quaynor, Wells

For me, Maynard to have a rest in the 2's this week. Great player and all. but recently his disposal efficiency and poor positioning is giving me the shits.

Quaynor, 2nd BOG last VFL match and should be rewarded with a debut against a weak Carlton outfit.

Wells to come in (also in the bests last VFL match). Would like to see him play ones before he breaks down again.

Cox to rest another week.

27 touches at 78% efficiency is giving you the shits?

There's something about him atm that irks me. Perhaps "disposal efficiency" wasn't the correct stat to emphasize my point. Maybe it's clanger, maybe it's turnover. What I'm saying is, whenever there's a one-on-one contest, this generally results in advantage to opposition.

Anyway, Maynard rest - Quaynor debut.

I think Maynard has been fantastic this year. His game against Port was one of his best. I reckon his field kicking has improved out of site and has gone beyond just reliable now. Some of his field kicking is real quality. He is also dominant in contested ground ball situations. Quaynor is struggling to win one-on-one contests in the VFL now. If we make that swap expect to lose more ground level contests in our back line.

Bad news for those without Foxtel. Channel 7 are delaying their telecast of Carlton Collingwood to 9pm this Saturday as censors have rated the content R18+.

The good news is that David Attenborough will be doing commentary

Where do people think Mayne fits in terms of the best 22. His workrate seems to be immense around the ground. Or have guys like Sier pushed him out?

Wait....what?

I used to be the biggest Maynard hater on this board and even I think your post is crazy talk.

Carlton are all over the media this morning taking responsibility and apologising to their supporters. We had better not take them lightly and I’m sure we won’t as they’ll be looking to atone.

Would have much preferred they had an honorable loss against the Roos. Really hate coming up against a team that cops a media bashing.

Be seriously disappointed with anything less than a 10 goal victory -
Their best option would be to "Forfeit"

Mayne is injured right now. If he were fit I suspect he'd be playing Sidebottoms wing role and Sidebottom would be on ball to replace the injured Adams.

In reality checkers plays like a flanker
Same type of style as Jenkins

Love to see a extra big out there

Will stretch all teams

Out Adams
In cox

This is insane.

Also the talk of turning Mihocek and Reid into swingmen with Cox as FF seems crazy to me - not only does it throw the defense into a new make-up every 5 minutes (where stability would be desired) it's one extra slow marking forward. Our forward balance is perfect at the moment, no team can handle it for four quarters. Keep the balance!
