If Cox is fit he comes in for Reid. It’s terribly harsh but we have a flag to win. Either Aish or Varcoe for Adams.
Never mind that, who is stopping those green shoots?

The green shoots will be fired up but I’m confident we will put them in their place. Look for Daisy to get involved early with some cheap shots.

Daisy green shoots.

Hopefully we scalp them.

Always gives me great pleasure to torch Carlton.

I hope Reid isn't finished and can be a good player again, I really do...but I think he is finished. He has things he really needs to work on, too slow hand to foot, too slow to handball, not strong enough in the contest, too slow to move the ball on after a mark, doesn't get back off the mark quickly enough. Cox is all of those things, but can ruck better and outmark any defender in the comp when he is on. That's a weapon that scares defences. I don't think Reid does that anymore, but geez I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

Mihocek just kicks goals. We would be stupid to drop him and dent his confidence like that. He could easily kick 3 or 4 any week he isnt playing on McGovern.

On West Coast, next time we play them, we really need to put Howe on McGovern. There, I said it, it's crazy but Howe is the man that can stop McGovern and make him worry back the other way. Though I guess if they have no Barrass we might find things conserably easier anyway.

I think you're a very hard marker on Reid there...

Reid no chance of being dropped. The only disadvantage of playing Reid is it hurts our second ruck option. This is where Roughead will step.

Collingwood will be without key midfielder Taylor Adams for the next month, while the Magpies are unlikely to have giant forward Mason Cox back for Saturday's clash with Carlton.

I think it's convenient Cox is 'still not ready' when he probably could play, he said to Roaming Brian immediately after the game that he was hoping to be picked this week but they are giving Reid/Mihocek another chance together against weak opposition to have more information on what is going to be a very tough call on who is the one that is going to be the back up reserves player. They can't all co-exist but all 3 deserve to be playing seniors but not in a forward line that also has De Goey, Stevo, Elliott, WHE all on the lead as well. Cox has been 'held over', to make sure he's '100% fit' but he's ok now.

Nah. I disagree. Reid isn't best 22. Cox is miles ahead of him in terms of first choice. Cox is just being rested which is smart.

My sister became a Bloose supporter when she married. She was a Bummers supporter, so no great difference in my mind.
But oh boy does she defend Daisy to the hilt.
He “is teaching the youngsters”. “ He is playing for basic wages”.
I just laugh and remind her of the millions they gave him for zero on field return.
I just remind her that he is taking a spot and wouldn’t get a spot at any other team, even if he paid them!
Family.......can you divorce them?

I imagine Darcy might back himself in to win most marking contests against Fas?
I reckon any of our backs would back themselves over the fas.

He’s falling away he is.

Another good game in the Magoos for Wells he takes Adams’ spot? Or Wills in?

And anyone else see this game as a Massive danger game for us?

Wells is an outside mid and not a like for like replacement, Sier, Wills or DeGoey more suitable to replace Tay. And yes it is a danger game, apart from the norf game they've been playing good footy and seem to match up on us.

Reid peaking which he is now is best 22. His form is too hot to ignore. If he kicked straight and had 4 it would be a dilly of a pickle. Reid's best is of a high AFL standard and he didn't just get in because Cox went down, he was dominating at VFL level. It's a good problem to have, it's an abundance of riches but it's a chance to really audition Reid one more time but he is going to have to tear the house down to displace Cox or Mihocek long term. But it's not beyond him, he could have a field day against Carlton.
