He got 12 possessions against Fremantle as a defensive forward, that’s usually what TB gets as a mid.
He got 3 against the Dogs. Let’s be honest, he’s a work in progress, just like TB.

How so? Those stats are accurate.
Please elaborate because it sounds like you are calling me a liar.
You’ve haven’t taken into the account the roles they play and ignored all the good games McCreery has played and are only considering the dogs game which is the exception not the norm.

You’re not straight up lying just being disingenuous.

I don’t think they’re comparable in terms of their stage of development either. McCreery has shown he can play as pressure forward to a reasonable standard. He’s had down games for sure but he’s also had good games where he’s contributed allot. We’ve yet to seen Tyler do that latter.

It was SR36 who said they are comparable as pressure forwards. All I’ve said is that there isn’t much difference between them as players. Except that TB has a bit more versatility.

The stats are accurate, yet you somehow think that they’re a good defence of Brown when in actuality they’re absolutely damning. Under no circumstances should a midfielder be putting up similar numbers to a defensive forward.

Their career stats so far are below average in most areas, apart from McCreery who’s tackling inside 50 is elite. He also has the caveat that as a second year player, he has a fair bit of growth left.
What’s Tyler’s excuse? He’s been in the system something like 6 years now? He’s a waste of space in the senior side. Bring in a young kid to replace him. Be it McCreery, Reef or Macrae. I’m over him. If his last name wasn’t Brown he’d have been out of the system 3 years ago.

Tyler is 22.
Beau is 21.
We’ve had two years of covid.
I’m hopeful for both Tyler and Beau. Not writing either off yet.

Beau should not have been dropped out of the team last week and we nearly paid dearly for it.

He should be back in this week.
Would he have made that much difference?
TB did mange to get a pretty important goal in the last quarter.

No- one can know for sure but Tyler was scream at the telly bad for 3 quarters.

His last quarter was a pleasant surprise though.

Their age is irrelevant to their time in the system. Tyler is hot garbage. He and Callum should play out their careers in the VFL where they’ll both be high level players, just like the many players before them who were never able to step up to the level.

I think that’s over the top. Tyler has taken some positive steps this year. Whether it’s enough to remain on the senior list remains to be seen. He may well be dropped this week and I’m fine with that. You can bet that he’ll continue to work hard and try and earn a recall.
Personally I think we should have a bit more respect for the effort he puts in.

Effort only goes so far if you don’t have the required talent, and Tyler doesn’t have it.

I said Brown played as a defensive forward against Blues and I think that Mcreery is a lot better at the role. So if we want a defensive forward, I'd play Mcreery well ahead of Brown and i would want one with Cameron, Henry, Ginnivan and WHE up forward. Brown played the role last week, so I'd move him from there and play Mcreery. I don't think I'd find another spot for Tyler at the moment.

Let’s hope Beau kicks a goal like Tyler did.

Can't see a change this week. Not sure what that means for McCreery, I'm not a fan of having potentially two weeks as sub with no action. A full game in the VFL for him then

In.
Out. McCreery

B. Quaynor Moore Murphy
HB. Noble Howe Maynard
C. J.Daicos Pendlebury Sidebottom
HF. Hoskin-Elliott Mihocek Lipinski
F. Elliott Cameron Henry
R. Cox De Goey Adams
I. Ginnivan N.Daicos T.Brown Crisp
E. Macrae (sub) McInnes Poulter McCreery

Most msd selections will never play a game
Our sample size is two drafts. SSP selections play games. Rookies play games. Anyone can play games. Nic Martin wasn't even on a list until just weeks out from the start of the season. They could be busts but let's not write it off from two drafts.

really cant see T Brown making it
most players who make it show a bit of something from the start, even if they have big gaps
even second stringers like noble and madge showed clearly from the start what they could contribute at the level
but i just cant see what T Brown brings to an afl team

Not really comparable. Noble and Madgen were mature agers. Tyler was always gonna take a few years come into his body. Looked like he was 12 when drafted. Shows glimpses, but does need to get involved more.
