Out JDG, Brown, WHE & Pendles

In nothing left?

Seriously we were our worst enemy today. I found it hard to enjoy wins like that but hey thats me.

Pendles really looks at the end of his career & JDG looks timid and not interested.
Do you enjoy anything about Collingwood? All you do is bag players

Yeah I made a comment on another thread about pendles starting to look a bit past it, still does good things but is too slow for midfield minutes.

Already stated my thoughts on JDG, I don’t think he is worth the big $$ he wants.

Yeah, get the feeling it might be the last year of Pendles and Sidebottom. Pendles looks slow, Sidebottom has been inconsistent.

Tyler has to go out, 3 possessions to three-quarter-time,

Rapt that he kicked an important goal and did a couple of nice things, but he just hasn't clicked at AFL level yet, still fumbly, error-prone and doesn't get enough of it.

Would have loved McCreery's pace and pressure to shut down some of Saad's endless runs out of our forward 50 today.

Zero chance it’s Pendles last year. Sidey has enough in the tank to play on too ( awesome super sub) but it might be a question of salary and list spots.

Zero chance? Let’s not exaggerate. He might make the call himself. As might Sidebottom. Or they might be given a gentle nudge by the coaches. We’ll need to see the second half of the season to know.

Pendles is contracted and seems to be fairly obsessive about being a footballer. There is almost 0%, in my opinion, that he retires before the end of 2023.

Nick Daicos to high half forward.
WHE down back (he did it in a win against the Eagles, in a final, in WA).
McCreery’s forward pressure is needed. Maybe swap for Tyler?… hard to make changes after such an even team effort.
I can imagine ZERO changes (besides, our VFL team was poor).

Mcreery will come back in, I think. Brown basically played Mcreery's role for much of that. Bloody strange coaching decision.
Posters here tried to justify the decision by arguing we needed the extra mid rotation Tyler provides only for him to end up playing McCreery’s role anyways, strange indeed.

Maybe they were resting McCreery to ease his workload? He plays a physically demanding role and has had a few injuries and hasn’t quite looked the same since returning from his last one.

Only change could be Brown for McCreery or Macrae, eventhough Brown's role as that big body in the midfield has been serving a purpose. I think Brown may hold his spot....
He didn’t play that role today and got caught with the ball quite easily so I don’t see the effectiveness of his “bigger” body.

Might not be the case if he wasn't rubbish
How’s Stephenson going for ya?

Brown is developing, he’s 10kg under weight. I don’t understand all the negativity towards a player with his attributes. You’re a bunch of uninformed know nothings. Only way he develops is through games. That can be in the VFL.

Only closet Carlton supporters would refer to a greats developing son as rubbish. He’s clearly in the 22, otherwise he wouldn’t have played. He set the game up for us in the last quarter…but yeah continue posting your pointless drivel.

Well he was playing in and around the midfield/ HF, hence him kicking that vital goal in the last. He was also a marking option down the ground along the wing when kicking long out of D50....

Well he is on MMM Monday mornings, and he did say a a few weeks back that he is feeling like he could play a few more years, as he was feeling good with his body etc....
