WHE spent the last quarter on the bike, so not serious enough to be put on ice. Will play.

Johnson came back on, and will definitely be very sore for a few days. Will play, provided no Howe 2018-esque bleeding of the corky.

Hill will be fine.

Beau is very touch and go, and I would lean towards not playing.

Obviously JDG is staring down the barrel of 3 matches gone, minimum, meaning 4 weeks off minimum with the bye.

At least Elliott, Lipinski and McStay will be back next week.

Ginni didn't play a great game against WCE but doubt he'll be dropped due to other outs.

Outs:
DeGoey (suspension)
McCreery (ankle)

Ins:
Elliott
Lipinski

I could also see Harrison being left out or moved to sub. Could be a simple swap with Markov in, Harrison sub. Or could even be Harrison omitted. Does Carmichael get a chance?

The defence isn't really relevant to it.

McStay's definitely coming in when ready. Adds a missing dimension to our team and reduces wear and tear for Mihocek. Question will be whether we drop a ruck or AJ. I think, initially, we might play all.

We're not dropping Ash. Mihocek's having his best season with McStay.

McStay will come back in but unless he improves from what we saw earlier in the year he just can't be considered a lock.

Would think most likely changes would be

Out - De Goey if rubbed out / In - Elliott
Out - Johnson (looked bad cork) / In - McStay (if ready) otherwise McInnes

Reckon WHE and McCreery get up with some strapping and pain relief

Funny the guy that came back on AJ is your out when the other two stay off the ground ?

Been waiting for this one the second Melbourne recruited Grundy.
This will be a massive game and the entire narrative behind the getting rid of Grundy will be played out.
Sure the win is all that matters…. but the sub plot of the rucks will be a helluva match up.
C’mon Cameron & Coxy!
Coxzilla to put on a clinic in a massive game at the G. Loves the big occasion in front of the parents at the G does big Coxy!

Why is that funny?

Rolled ankles and bad corkies are 2 completely different injuries, i had both in my glorious surburban footy career and I can tell you that after suffering a corky it isn’t bad after the initial pain, but he will be extremely sore this week.

I don’t want to lose AJ from the side, just see corkys as a harder injury to come up from then a rolled ankle.

Fly said in hes presser that Beau will be touch and go. So if that’s the case then

JDG out - Lippa in
Beau out - Elliott in
AJ out (hope I’m wrong) - McStay in

Still think we will be too good for the Dees regardless, just disappointed that JDG has shot he’s chance at winning the Charlie and also will fall behind in the Copeland assuming he misses anywhere from 2-3 weeks.

Obviously, that stat is BS.
Chasing somebody can be a “pressure act”.
Ginnivan did a lot of chasing, as he touched it bugger all and his opponents kept on jogging it away from his area.
Nah.
He was crap.
Probably our worst.
Yep he was very ineffective. Ran around a lot but couldn’t seem to get near the ball.

I'd be very surprised if HH was dropped.

If he goes straight out we've set him up to fail because he was solid enough to get at least one more crack at it.... he probably performed exactly to the standard the coaches would've expected from him.

Yes I personally doubt he'll be in the side come finals but he should've had 2 goals and was better than Ginnivan.

Now’s the time to lock in best 22. Finals are coming…

B Bruz Frampton Murph
HB Noble Moore Howe
C Jaicos DeGoey Q
Foll Cameron Mitchell Naicos
HF McCreary McStay Bobby
F Cox Checkers Elliot
I/C Lipinski Crisp Pendles Sidebottom
Emerg Johnno

Wow…. If we can get that on the park, it’s gonna be tough to roll.
Solid team. Adams a bit stiff…?

Not sure what his forward/mid split has been but I suspect Adams will be getting a bit more time around center bounce with JDG out.

Nick Daicos CBA's are up as well with 12 yesterday.

Crisp only 5 CBA yesterday too. He could push in more.

Basically I just wouldn't be surprised if we don't feel the need to replace JDG with a mid of Carmichael/Macrae ilk.

Out: De Goey, Beau, Ginnivan
In: Lipinski, Elliott, McStay

Taylor Adams steps into midfield for De Goey, Lipinski and Elliott forward.

Harrison or Markov as the sub if we're needing run later in the game.

I just don't know about Ginnivan. His body language yesterday was a little... odd.

Adams replaces Jordy. Lippa replaces Adams.

Cant see us playing all of those 4 bigger defenders in the same team, one goes out and Adams into team and if we ever get to full strength that would be close.

INS: Elliott, McStay, Lipinski
OUTS: DeGoey (unfortunately will get suspended), McCreery (ankle didn’t look great unfortunately), Ginnivan (didn’t even look to have a crack - Elliott straight swap)

Markov into the 22, give Harrison an other crack but start as sub.

B - Quaynor Frampton Murphy
HB - Maynard Moore Crisp
C - J.Daicos Mitchell Lipinski
HF - WHE McStay Elliott
F - Hill Mihochek Johnson
R - Cox N.Daicos Pendlebury
INT- Adams Noble Cameron Markov
SUB - Harrison

Using my expert medical assessment….. whe got on a bike and Johnson returned to the field and both will be right to play. Moore joked that mccreery whinged the most so will miss.

In elliot Lipinski markov
Out mcreery Ginnivan DeGoey

Sub whoever plays well today …. But not a debutant… perhaps Macrae

Mcstay if fit to have a run in the vfl before we experiment with an ultra tall forward line.
