We will need 13 wins with Geelong and the swans winning tonight. I would rather play Rankine against the lions and then not play him against swans and west coast. If he does a hammy he has 4 weeks to get it right with the post season bye.
Geelong won’t play finals as they will go 1-2 in last 3 games. They won’t be impacting the Crows chances of finals.

Nah you could see bruising on top of his foot and he was severely wincing when they pressed on it.
Ok, we didn't see that at the game.

Strange as looked like an ankle from the tackle.

Did someone step on his foot?

Confirmed on 7 news Jones has a Lisfranc injury to his foot, so season over 🫤. Hoping it’s not a nasty one that lingers🤞

I think its Collingwood's to lose, obviously top 4 have an advantage, if we could finish 5th or 6th, get a home final. I reckon it pretty even, it will be the side that hits form at the right time and once you get in who knows with an ounce of luck, we may be a sneaky chance.
Take out Pies amazing (often lucky) close wins and they ain’t a stand out team, no dominant tall forwards, best player may now well be out for the year, they ain’t certainties by any means IMO

Gets you home earlier, but yes it's ugly.

As I said, the option is there. Whether they choose to use it is another matter entirely.
I don't care if they take the red eye, the bloodshot eye, the hairy eyeball or the brown eye.

As long as it makes them good'n'tired.

Why... Jones was playing off a wing. ;)
i wondered why they were reporting on it as "crows defender"... then i read on and say they referenced "crows defensive curse" and realised its a far better headline to link it to our other recent injuries and make it seem like an even bigger issue than it is.

It is a shame though, hes been good.

I know noone here wants it but whats Sholls form been like since dropped? I hope we dont see him but this obviously opens the doo with options likely being him, Cook, pedlar in with a shuffle of forwards through the wings or I guess Sloane (unlikely IMO)

Did some Googling; can be really bad.
"
How long does it take to recover from a Lisfranc injury?
How is a Lisfranc injury treated? Your treatment will depend on your specific injury, and whether or not you have any broken bones. You might need surgery. Most people wear a cast or boot for six to 12 weeks, and it can take a year or more to return to intense exercise like running or playing sports.27 Dec 2021

Yep Lisfranc is generally very bad. Sloane never the same after his.

Lisfranc Injury Studies …. Can be very nasty

NFL
Results: A total of 33 NFL athletes sustained a Lisfranc injury during the study period. Most Lisfranc injuries were experienced by offensive linemen (n = 8; 24.2%), followed by running backs (n = 7; 21.2%). Overall 27 players (81.8%) returned to play after injury at a median of 11.0 months (IQR, 10.2-11.8 months). There were no significant differences between pre- and postinjury snap counts or number of games played and started. In terms of player performance, there was a statistically significant decrease in AV at 1 year postinjury (median [IQR], 6.0 [4.0-10.0] preinjury vs 5.0 [2.5-7.5] postinjury; P = .022). The overall cost of recovery amounted to $104.7 million, with quarterbacks (n = 4) accounting for the greatest cost at $32.6 million. The next 2 most expensive positions were offensive and defensive linemen (n = 5 each) at $19.4 million each.

Soccer-Rugby

Results: Clinical and radiological follow-up was obtained in all 17 players. Seven players had primarily ligamentous injuries, and 10 had bony injuries. The time from injury to fixation ranged from 8 to 31 days, and hardware was removed at 16 weeks postoperatively. One athlete retired after a ligamentous injury; the remaining 16 players returned to training and full competition. Excluding the retired player, the mean time to return to training was 20.1 weeks (range, 18-24 weeks) and to full competition was 25.3 weeks (range, 21-31 weeks). There was a significant difference between the mean time to return to competition for rugby (27.8 weeks) and soccer players (24.1 weeks; P = .02) and for ligamentous (22.5 weeks) compared with bony injuries (26.9 weeks; P = .003). Three patients suffered deep peroneal nerve sensation loss, from which 1 patient did not fully recover.

Conclusion: Return to competitive elite-level soccer and rugby is possible after surgically treated Lisfranc injuries. Return to training can take up to 24 weeks and return to playing up to 31 weeks, with bony injuries taking longer.

Lisfranc is terrible news. Jones finally looking like putting something together and suddenly a year out potentially?

NFL players are generally much heavier so maybe they makes it so worse? Tom Stewart did one a couple of years ago and got back alright.
