Keane, Borlase and Nankervis will be interesting who stands up this weekend
cant see Keane and Butts in the same side with all availableEven when Butts/Murray etc all fit, I like the idea of Keane playing the Doedee 'third tall' role as think he could be a handy intercept/rebounder on a lesser opposition forward. Similar to Worrell.
Prefer Worrell as our 3rd tall.Even when Butts/Murray etc all fit, I like the idea of Keane playing the Doedee 'third tall' role as think he could be a handy intercept/rebounder on a lesser opposition forward. Similar to Worrell.
Keane will play the same. Borlase will regress if he plays on a fast leader. Nankervis has shown good AFL characteristics, but is flagging now.Keane, Borlase and Nankervis will be interesting who stands up this weekend
We are coming up after captains run on Friday. Can’t train at the Gabba.Hope we head up early and have a couple of beach sessions.
Then hunt the hell out of them on what looks like its going to be a warm late afternoon and taxing game.
Doesn't it get slippery in these twilight games up there?
Out: Jones(inj), Sloane
In: Cook, Pedlar
Rachelle (sub) - with an assignment to hunt Neale and work him over when the time comes.
I'd be tempted to play Thilthorpe on the wing for periods this week.
If big Oscar Mac misses again the window opens to steal this one.
Be prepared for Zorko to get grubby.
Going to need to have Plan C,B and then A to rollout to keep the heat on them all game.
Let's not die wondering.
Drop Murphy, make him sub. Sloane to SANFL. Can't just keep giving his sub and expect fitness to remain the same, even if he runs laps after the game.Sounds like Rankine has recovered to play & Pedlar is available.
Jones is obviously our, but who goes out if Rankine is available? My pick would be Murphy... but selectors likely to drop someone else.
Dropping Nakervis would be a huge mistake, as upsets our team balance.Drop Murphy, make him sub. Sloane to SANFL. Can't just keep giving his sub and expect fitness to remain the same, even if he runs laps after the game.
My bet is they drop Nankervis. Teams almost always have a designated defensive forward.
Will Thilthorpe's injury keep him out?

After the Carlton collingwood clash there is zero need to wear other strips vs anyone. Also apparently we'll be wearing our gather round Guernsey for this game which is cool.
Have to say after watching the 30 years ago today video of Modra kicking his 100th our home Guernsey with white shorts really does look awesome and I wish we wore that combo more
Where’d they say this?Sounds like Rankine has recovered to play & Pedlar is available.

News tonight.Where’d they say this?
No, Cook has been playing on the wing in the SANFL.I would bring Cook in for Jones. Cook has been playing down back so he can cover Jones. Rankine and Peds for Murphy and Rachele will improve us.
Rahilly at today's presserWhere’d they say this?
Even choosing GC to wear red and yellow against us (including both teams in yellow numbers) when they have a clash strip (is it white or light blue or both these days) was oddAfter the Carlton collingwood clash there is zero need to wear other strips vs anyone.
Preference in that case would be Sloane out of 23, Murphy to sub. Would be okay if Murph went out, too, as I said a couple of days back, a Ned vs Freo situationRahilly at today's presser
Said he'd back to normal training routine from last Friday
Pretty much said if he gets through training this week that he'll play
Also apparently we'll be wearing our gather round Guernsey for this game which is cool.
I think they will rotate and restructure a bit.Dropping Nakervis would be a huge mistake, as upsets our team balance.
We need to replace 1 wingman in Jones & if we drop Nakervis, we then need to replace 2 wingmen as Smith would need to move back to defence.
Who would then be the 3 main players we rotate through the wings?
Smith had a cracking last half after a poor 1st quarter
Spot on though we need Cook grabbing that spot at some point
Good move to get smith to wing and let the young backs settle in together
Suspect it'll just be Rankine for Jones and move a few magnets aroundPreference in that case would be Sloane out of 23, Murphy to sub. Would be okay if Murph went out, too, as I said a couple of days back, a Ned vs Freo situation
Dunno what the club will do, though
If Pedlar is ready to go again he has to be in. We need him.I think they will rotate and restructure a bit.
If they are firm on this structure then Murphy to sub. I think it depends on Nank's fitness. Often kids get a stint of games until they fatigue.
I went back to Nanks heat map and his Q2 and Q3 touches look like he was playing up the ground. Couldn't tell on TV how he lined up at CBs.
I think with Pedlar in, for example, Laird can have less CBAs and rotate to HB or Richelle to wing and Pedlar to HB. Of course they are not there full time but Nank's HB time will be filled via rotations.
I don't think they drop McAdam for Rankine though.
The other scenario is they give Pedlar one SANFL game as there was they bye last week.
Would they give Keayes a hard tag on Neale? If they go a run with role the structure changes again.

Should, but I think they'll give him a run in the twos then bring back for Sydney game.If Pedlar is ready to go again he has to be in. We need him.
