O Allen is a better leader to the footy and over head mark

I liked Vardy as a key forward seemed to be timing his leads better

Our tagger hutchings , i know he kicked two goals on the weekend.
But i thought he was terrible with his turnover kicking, also hate him in the centre square,
yet to see him win a stoppage in the centre.
Makes it easier for oppo to clear as they have 3 ball winning mids in the centre where
we have two.
Hutching's just basically tries to close down his mid, if we have to play him start him on the wing then go onto the player to close him down.
Gives us better chance to clear the footy.

Yeah I think Hutchings is ideally suited to guys like Sidebottom or Hunter...he’s inffective against the Wines/Oliver types and he just gets in the way. Best to stay on the outside

He'd be type of tagger that could shut out Gaff but its pointless having a tagger that cannot lock out genuine game breakers like Fyfe/Danger etc.

Maybe its some thing we look at in the next couple seasons. Ah Chee playing a role on the bigger bodied mids and then having Venables develop his game by following inside/outside mids like Kelly/Sidebottom/Shiel/Trealor.

As Carbon chaos said! But, if you have any spare time watch some of Oscar Allens highlights or the next East Perth match if he's playing. He's a super impressive forward! I don't think I've seen a player who takes marks when the ball is at its' highest point so consistently. Definitely looks like he could become a player! I think he intuitively is an excellent forward!!

Thought it was a pretty good game to watch actually, shame we didn't win but we were always behind the 8-ball once Darling went down. Came close though.

Agreed....Quality game.

It also felt like the Dees always had first use of the ball, especially at bounce down. (Gawns tap work was insane, we really needed NN for this one)
If we were able to repel their attack, we'd score on the rebound. Thus we were always in the defensive position to begin with and on the back foot from first bounce.

Gawn is a hell of a player, amazing how far he's come in the last few years. It didn't help that we kept kicking it directly to him for half the game either.
