Hairline fractures ...had one in my foot when i was 27. Took 6 months for pain to stop. Its not a simple cut n dry injury....hes 100-105kg i reckon ....
Get it right.
Spot on

Simmo has said several time (almost every interview when asked) that they keep testing him and when the pain stops he will play - how more open can you get. Last thing we want is some form of infection or complication that could be career ending

Some comments on here about the clubs openness on injuries are infantile

so you genuinely believe his injury just has worsened?

i believe it was bad first time round and the club decided to play mind games with everyone

Maybe, maybe not. I wouldn't put it past WC to lie to us about it, but it's really hard to put a timeline on something like that; they might have honestly thought that he'd be back a few week ago and it just didn't take.

Le Cras, Ah Chee, Ryan and Venables aren’t offering enough up the ground. We need our smaller forwards to help out the mids.

Le Cras is getting by on reputation
definitely agree that LeCras is looking more cooked as the season progresses

give parto the HFF role ffs
Ah Chee must be kept if West Coast continue to play small. He provides cover if a tall goes down early like today.

LeCras makes sure that blade of grass just inside the centre square doesn't get stepped on so he is needed. Without him protecting that patch and telling everyone else to man up there is no telling where the team would be on the ladder.

Past the time to protect the former list managers reputation. Venables has to go. He doesn't provide anywhere near enough pressure like Rioli and Cripps. His disposal is over rated as shown by his first kick which saw a turnover goal (and was registered as effective funnily enough).

Did LeCras do anything but that 1 mark in the 4th qtr? As a small fwd in today's game he has to pressure. A liability for the side
Ah Chee in the LeCras role
Oscar Allen for LeCras
Would like Watson for Venables in a wing hff role but has not been tried there at WAFL level. But anyone at this stage.
I thought venners wasnt bad.

Lecras is so cooked though. Surely we can't give him another contract.
If we do bring in tall to support up forward then I think we need to drop Vardy. Can't afford to go to tall.

Then again lecras basically just trots around not laying tackles, so him going out wouldn't make a difference in our mobility. Not that he will ever get dropped.

I haven't been able to respond individually to every post slagging LeGod, but I will say this; do you all honestly think playing another first/second year player in his spot will be better, effectively losing another senior player and leadership? We're young enough in the forwardline as it is, and it's not like his tackling has been that bad (refer to Miguel Sanchez's post).

Can pain killer stop the pain for a few hours?

Yes however you run the risk of injuring it further because you feel less pain. Plus losing feeling in your lower leg can lead to coordination issues...ive seen players miss the ball with thier foot

The word harline is what minimises peoples thinking on the injury

Lets call it for what it is partial broken leg. ....

It changes the way think of it.

Hairline it might be ....minor it isn't

How about not listing him as a 1-2 week proposition every Tuesday over a two month period? They would have known within days of the collision that he would be out for an extended period. Why sell hope and deliberately lead the supporters on?

Oh Man ...if we even make 2nd spot , they (VFL ) schedule a QF for Thursday night means the winner has a sixteen day break before the Preliminary final and that after having a ten day break after R23 , if my maths is okay that means 26 days for one game of footy . I do hope it's us as we would have a Preliminary final at home ....but I just wanted to complain .

Thanks

I hope we bring in O Allen instead of Waterman.
O Allen is a better leader to the footy and over head mark
He is also a much better kick for goal
I liked Vardy as a key forward seemed to be timing his leads better

Our tagger hutchings , i know he kicked two goals on the weekend.
But i thought he was terrible with his turnover kicking, also hate him in the centre square,
yet to see him win a stoppage in the centre.
Makes it easier for oppo to clear as they have 3 ball winning mids in the centre where
we have two.
Hutching's just basically tries to close down his mid, if we have to play him start him on the wing then go onto the player to close him down.
Gives us better chance to clear the footy.

I hope the boys are focused this Sunday, the 4 points arent absolutely a sure thing.

This week the team needs to start well; the last few weeks we have been asleep in the first quarter, given the opposition a good lead and had to fight back.

I hope we play this game as if it were a final, with absolute intensity from the opening bounce. So much is on the line and we need to be switched on from the word go

Better chance of Kennedy getting right for the prelim.

Happy with those breaks between games.

We need him for the grand final. He hasn't performed well in finals overall but at least he could give darling a chop out and free up the other small forwards creating a contest.

I wish the eagles would be more transparent with their supporters .they have played down an injury that has been going on for 5 weeks now .
Having had a similar injury in the past, very difficult to give a timeframe on these type of injuries as everybody is different. Some people heal quickly and some slowly and as in my case I had to give up active sport completely, albeit I didn't have access to the very top medicos like what JK has at the Eagles.

That's where they went wrong at the weekend - when they got behind in the 1st qtr they had the belief they could come back, which was made more difficult with JD being off injured with concussion. Unfortunately even though we did manage to get in front very briefly we could not hold on, although IMO thought the defence went MIA whether this was coach instructed or just lack of concentration who knows, but it doesn't matter now. Just hope they learnt by this that you can't afford to give the other team a break like that as you can so easily come unstuck as we found out last weekend. They need to stay focused at all times:oops:

Of all the players we didn't want going down on the weekend it was JD, especially half way through the 1st term.
Losing our only experienced key forward just put a major spanner in the works.
He will be fine this week, and better not go down again. Meaning we should have an unchanged line up again and get the points.

Only possible change I can see is Waterman back, probably for Venables but I am fine with either being in.

Well I went to spec savers...but I didn't see Masten there???
When I asked the staff where he was..
they replied "Masten is back at the Eagles, he's in the best 22 and he'll be staying there for awhile!"
You need to get your facts straight, where have you been all season, the South Pole?

Wow i should probably stay away from bigfooty when im drunk after a loss:p, i still would rather one of the younger mids in the team though.
