Berg's resurgence will be temporary, if history is any guide. But for the time being, there's definitely no case for dropping him.
It is, as you say, a big discussion.
ROB is playing like late-career Sauce but without that first part of Sauce's career where he was great for us.
You forgot to integrate his long contract into the list: will there not be a correlation? The 7 Ages of ROB:
1. Plays better than Sauce but can’t push him out of the team
2. Pushes him out of the team/Sauce finally retires
3. Plays well
4. Wins the gold jacket
5. Gets injured and plays crap
6. Recovers, joins the leadership group, still plays crap
7. Dropped for Strachan??
Don't mind it, basically gives us an extra midfielder at the centre bounce.

Possibly. But I don’t think he’s a replacement for Frampton/Murray. I think neither of those is quite the right fit and we need to give Macasey a bit of a go - see if he’s the answer.Very good is a bit of an exxaggeration don't you think?
It was a better showing but North were without several of their best talls due to Covid prorocols and injury.
I'd like to see him back it up a couple more times before I got too excited.
Worrell is the player that deserves a crack before McAsey IMO if we're promoting a defender.
Worrell only played the 3 quarters in the SANFL and was flown over as the emergency for the Bombers game, does that indicate he's next in line?
Any reason why we couldn't play all of Tex, TT, Berg & Gollant? 1 would usually be on the bench or in ruck.Berg has been going ok but I want to see TT in the forward line with Tex. Tex takes the main defender and no one better for TT to learn from about positioning etc
It worked so well the last time we tried that against them...Any reason why we couldn't play all of Tex, TT, Berg & Gollant? 1 would usually be on the bench or in ruck.
Could be a good week to go tall to stretch Richmond’s backline.

My main criticism of Crouch is he takes too long to move the ball on which stops momentum and allows the opposition to man up. He isn't the only player in our side guilty of it.
You forgot step 4b: Our idiot list management group sign up a very average ruck for 5 years after he plays out of his skin. Once that contract is signed he returns to his usual form. The 7 Ages of ROB:

Especially given TT could play wing as wellAny reason why we couldn't play all of Tex, TT, Berg & Gollant? 1 would usually be on the bench or in ruck.

As I keep saying, bring in Worrell to play Doedee role and allow Dude to play wing or midfield. Worell doesn't get a go because of Doedee but it's narrow thinkingPossibly. Or you could move Thilthorpe down back. Would add an extra string to his bow and likely help him when forward.Especially given TT could play wing as well

Like it or not Crouch is a driving force in our team. I question his speed and the quality of some of his disposals like many on here do but at this time he is still important. I guess the division on here is whether you want to win now or whether you want to play only the youngsters and count the losses this year. Getting that mix right is the difficult part but I believe that Crouch is still needed and gives our team the ability to get the ball. What for?
I can go back to my childhood (now 72) when we used to walk down the street and we would say the magical F word. But if some adults were coming towards us we would stop swearing either out of respect or just scared of getting told off. Then about 30 years ago The F word made its movie debut (cant remember the name of the movie) but I turned to my wife and said "thats given the world the license to say the F word. So our tolerance has been eroded and everyone say's the F word. But I still dont believe that it should be tolerated at certain functions and one of those is where there are young kids. As adults we should be able to express our feelings without using the F and C words. My earliest memories of watching cricket on tv
"Hadlee's a Wayne Kerr...."
I’d keep Billy in over Murray. A below average 1on1 defender can be hidden to an extent in the modern game via zones and the third tall coming over the top. What can’t be hidden is diabolical kicking, and Murray very firmly sits in that category at the moment. Bad D50 ball users are team killers almost everytime, both directly (turnover goals) and indirectly (slow chip play to get it in someone else’s hands or predictable dump kicks).
In a perfect world, everything clicks and Mcasey remembers why he was so highly rated as a junior, then we don’t have to pick either of them.
