Aish cant be considered inconsistent, having played only one game. I would consider his upside higher than Smiths whos only strength seems to be consistency but not much else.

Its not a major issue one way or the other but my preference would be to give Aish another chance.
Smith, does have other good traits, good kick, excellent in contested ball situations, and they are the main reasons he is playing in our defence, although I am also disappointed Aish is not in!

He will have some competition with wells and Elliot ahead of him and de goey just behind him. Crocker also in good form

I think he's missed his window for now unless we get fresh injuries this weekend (touch wood).

Just offloaded a gorilla on Collingwood at $3.25. Great odds.

What happened between then and now. We are at $2.71 on Sportsbet. I was about to put a bet on but I think I missed the opportunity. maybe sportsbet knows something we don't. Kennedy a late out for the Swans perhaps?

If that's the case.. I'm booking a weeks holiday in Bali now. Proudly sponsored by Sportsbet.

I work in Thomastown Gimpy.........I might have to pay a visit to the IGA today because with all these "gorillas" you outlay I am starting to question your "profession"

I'm assuming from the thread title that this is where we discuss the game tonight. Anyway, I reckon we will go very close to winning this. We will need to take our opportunities this time to do it.

They are still 3.20 (+18.5) on Crownbet and 3.00 (+17.5) on TAB. I don't know what's going on with sportsbet? I just saw they are 2.71 with the +13.5 line???? Maybe sportsbet does have some info. You should just hit it with crownbet mate, before they cotton onto whatever sportsbet knows.

I don't know why everyone has their jollies on Sydney winning tonight. I was looking at some AFL tipping thing on The Age website this morning and saw that only 1 person out of about 20 is on Collingwood? Last night on SEN they were all saying Sydney by 20, 25, etc. I don't know if we are blind here or what, but I don't understand the confidence in Sydney in THIS game. Sure they can win but people are making out like Sydney are going to blow us over. Can people not see that this Sydney team is not the same Sydney team that was in last year's grand final? Our midfield will run rings around them. It only depends if our forwards can score.

There's a follow the leader mentality in the media. It runs through all facets of reporting from journalism to sports. The media believe their own bulldust half the time. They've already organised the lynch mob for Buckley...nd they can't see past that.

If it was at the MCG I would pick us with confidence. The home ground advantage is a big obstacle to overcome.

Sydney has 7 players under 10 games most of them being 1 or 2 games. If we honestly can't win this Buckley should walk.

Get used to disappointment.

Eh? Wouldn't know, Smith is the most uncontested player on the planet.

This, I agree with. Adding Varcoe and Greenwood bolsters us even further too. And if you are looking at both teams first 2 games, Collingwood has gotten stronger, and Sydney has gotten weaker with the loss of Tippett. We both have the same offensive score average over those first two games however our defence is slightly better.

And I'm sensing something else is going on , with these odds dropping such a great amount. Maybe they will have an 8th player under 10 games?

Crownbet just dropped to +15.5 for the line. Something has to be up. Or the bookies have just realised that the Pies are actually a chance in this game.

Not much of a home ground advantage when half of Sydney's team have played less than 10 games on said home ground.

I have heard a lot of people in the media refer to us being absolutely horrible last week. This is true in a sense that the last quarter we were over run and we didn't make use of our opportunities in front of goal BUT apart from that we were all over Richmond for a good part of the game and should have had the game iced.

Sydney on the other hand were no better against the Dogs than we were the week before and lost to Port and have a very young side. It is Buddy's 250th but I would think the pressure is on them a lot more than us as at home it is expected they win.

We are a good chance tonight for a win I think. Treloar BOG.

I'm strangely confident we will win this. The name "Franklin" keeps cropping up in my mind and dousing my spirits though.

Tipped us the first two weeks so I will go with a different approach this week.

Swans by 46.
