Oh David King.

He just again says Lions are the best team again what someone posted earlier. We have 9 first round picks, rattles the names off.

Then says Geelong only has one first round pick; Holmes. Umm, didn’t Danger and Cameron go first round picks for other clubs.

Again just shits on us and showing examples where got it wrong. Doesn’t show plays we do well or show Cats plays that are poor.

Yep, like someone eloquently posted on our board earlier about King, he’s setting himself up to say he got it right.

Even Robbo said to King he’s got a vendetta against Fages and he argues he doesn’t. King has looked a fool tonight.
Oh boy I hope we win on Saturday so David King looks the fool.

Anyone got the Footy Classified panel’s tips for this weekend and why is Llordo saying Cats by 10 goals?

4 minutes, literally not one section on how we might be able to beat/exploit geelong. I don't even have any issues with the points raised in this, but can you ever look at the other side of the result, lol?

Why wouldn't he go to Neale (Geel version)?
He could do, but I had Andrews pencilled in for that role. Payne would be spotting Neale about 6cm.

This is a great watch from 12:45. Lloyd basically tries to feed to line that Chris Scott is a master tactician, Chris Fagan is a man-manager. Clarko's response is brilliant on this - first bit of sense I've heard on the topic in the media this year... though Clarko isn't exactly media so that could explain it!

Lloyd and King must be in cahoots because they spout the same negativity about Brisbane and Fagan as coach and constantly pump up Chris Scott.

It’s juvenile but I understand Lloyd’s hatred with Brisbane except Buckley for example has no ill will towards Brisbane or if he does, he’s a professional analyst who puts aside any personal biases. But as for King, like Lloyd, I don’t get the hatred towards a Brisbane and Fages and further, I don’t understand why producers at these networks haven’t told them to pull their heads in and just be impartial without the personal extreme biases.

Oscar was playing one of his better games until he was k'o'd.

That was one positive from the game. In fact that may have been the only positive from that game!

OK I lie. Bez also kicked a nice set shot goal.
I know it's not a true indicator but we was about 20 fantasy points clear of anyone else, dominant!

Hope he resumes in that vein.

Lloyd was desperately looking for him to share his view of comparison between the two coaches, but Clarko wasn’t having a bar of it. Lloyd is sooooo set on Scott being the tactics mastermind, but Fagan just a mere people’s person, that he followed with another question. But good ol Al wouldn’t budge, and then went onto say he thinks Brisbane will win. Loved it

David King on AFL 36O is a raving idiot. 2minutes in I'm thinking please make it stop.

Making Robbo look like an intellectual.
Wowee. I just watched 360. What a f*cking load of drivel from King... who would have ever thought Robbo would be the voice of reason! Perhaps there's something to coaching well and losing in H&A because you have top teams playing bottom teams, but in the final 3 weeks of the season it's the best teams against the best teams. The coach that wins the game does the best job.
Good on Robbo for calling him out regarding a vendetta - and he had no defence other than to get aggressive. He's been sighted for it throughout the season, finally someone is doing it to his face.

A fully fit🫰 Jack Payne has the pace and agility to play on smaller/medium opponents.
Provided the ball isn’t on the ground. His strengths are getting to the contest and in the air. If the ball is on the deck he’s in trouble.

You have just described 95% of KPD’s that play the game if they are up against small/medium forwards.

I actually think Payne is pretty good for a big man below his knees... caveat is when 100% fit.
He has done an excellent job on Gary Rohan a few times, not that he will be playing in this one but he is one of the quickest and most agile blokes going around.

Starting to feel a bit apprehensive about this one. I'm hoping we can use the momentum we generated from last week to keep that going into this game, but also understanding that we are carrying a few guys who are clearly labouring now.

I think we really need to try and get the jump on them this week. I know we don't always play games out very well when that happens, but you'd expect us to tire late and if blokes are sore towards the end of the game you'd expect that to play a part.

We need to use the advantage of them only playing 1 game in the best part of a month and start fast, which hopefully gives us a buffer at the end of the game. If we are behind at HT, I think we'll struggle from there.

Alternatively, we go 6 goals down & Fages brings out a super tactical move he's been working on all year to change the game, that not even Kingy can deny.

I'm feeling the same, I was very confident post the Giants game that we would beat the Cats, that confidence is gradually dissipating, probably just apprehension.

FWIW I also thought the Giants away was going to be our toughest match up of the teams left in it, we definitely have the fire power to beat any of Cats, Swans, Port and IMO we match up very well with them.

I genuinely felt before the GWS game that the winner of that game wins the flag. Now that it's us, I am nervous! I say we back the club's mantra in and believe!

I've been watching/listening to a lot of preview content and most of it is just spectacularly wrong on basic facts?

Several different ones have mentioned Logan Morris either being 'goalless again' or 'always being subbed out' ... Logan's been subbed out twice this year (against the Dees, last week) and obviously kicked 2.1 in the first final.

Also talk that all our forwards bar Daniher are out of form, which is just incorrect. Eric's down, and Cam was quiet v GWS. Kai and Cal have been consistently good, and Charlie has been kicking goals without getting a bag.

Basically all the commentary has been about what we got wrong in the semi-final, and which of our players have been poor, not at all asking the question of how we managed to win.

I get we've played finals for 6 years and opinions are baked in at this point, but it is striking compared to the reception of how we played last year.
What matters to creators of disposable content: having enough opinions on things to fill required minutes/words lengths.

What matters to the club: players performing roles and team success.

We are all losing confidence as we move away from last week's win. Getting nervous, not backing ourselves.

Players are the same and that's why they go into their shell and have games and patches of fumbling, hesitation and poor performance.

Interestingly, dunkley said that throughout the entire gws game the players believed in themselves and believed they could still win. Even at the 3/4 break.

Said when things not going well players can start doing their own thing, but this group have reached that special place where they are all playing for each other.

So while they believe, I'm going to choose to believe.

We've got this, we can play our style and wrestle the momentum back when they have a run. Lions to win by 18.
