Out: Atley

In: Cunnington

Atley was a little bit too quiet today. 8 posessions is not enough and cunnington is due to have a bit more impact. Let atley go back to the 2's and dominate a few games.

He's also 18 years old and in his first season where, if we were able to win midfield clearances on a regular basis, would be developing his craft in the VFL.

but is pratt is suspended (doubt he will be) might give richo n tazz a crack to come in

dont think scotty mac done much yesterday, probably did but I cant recall seeing him do anything outstanding

Same with Rawlings... last year? (good call?/bad call?")

Yet ANOTHER example of the quality commentary that we have grown accustomed to, and a primary reason the North BF board is recognised in the upper echelons of football analysis.:thumbsu:

What did you think of McMahons opponents yesterday?

McMahon is defending well. There are many here mistaking which of our back 6 are having all the goals kicked on them. One awful clanger is not the same sin as having 4.1 kicked on you in the 1st quarter.

Cruise layed so many tackles trying to prevent Gysberts running off with Goldy's hit outs.

dont want to give him too much shit but he did have about 6 turn overs and only afew rebound 50s
to sum that up wouldnt think its a good thing coming out of our backline with those clangers

Seeing Cam Richardson durring the pre season, was good for us down back with plenty of run and hit targets.
and my other option Robbie Tazz, hes just a solid unit good deep backman for us.

thoughts?

p.s
I know ya all think my comments are shithouse, just havin my say :thumbsu:

You really are a fool.

Ins: Greenwood, Anthony, Cunnington
Outs: Harper, Garlett, Wright

Garletts disposal is shocking. It was 55%. Theres no doubt that he puts in and gets the ball but he's just another Ben Ross. Wright did jack all and I find he doesn't put in enough and god into challenges half hearted. Harper was pretty quiet I like his game but he didn't do to much last week either. Atley and Thomas are both on the cusp of being put as well. Of Pratt is suspended then leave garlett in.

Pratt's action was an intentional strike (closed first) to the head, so I expect he'll go for sure, even though the impact/force was minimal.

How far away are Levi, Basti, Flash and HMac from getting back into the seniors?
levi has played 2 weeks in the VFL so he should be ready either this week or next week.
the others are training now but should be another 3-4weeks each

55% Really? I must be missing the 45% then. I'll have to have a closer look. Even if that's right, the Ben Ross comparison doesn't seem at all right to me. Unless Anthony completely regained his form, I wouldn't put him straight back in, and not at the expense of Garlett.

I'm normally a defender of LT, but - just throwing it out there - if someone had to make way for, say Cunnington or Greenwood, I'd rather it not be Harps. I'd rather drop LT or Sammy Wright, and see him get a bit of continuity.

the team i expect
tarrant in pratt out

FB:Rawlings Grima Thompson
HB:Firrito Tarrant Macmillan
C:Speight Ziebell Wells
HF:Harper Hansen Adams
FF:Thomas Petrie Edwards
Foll:Goldy Boomer Swallow
Int: Garlett Mcmahon Wright
Sub:Atley

emg:Greenwood pedersen cunnington/anthony

other possible outs are everyone on my bench and subs and the potential options to come in are the emergencies

Out: Pratt (suspension), Thomas

In: Tarrant, Greenwood

Rational re dropping Thomas. I want Greenwood in. Thomas' form has been insipid. Put him back in the seniors when he finds form in the twos. Garlett is playing fine, don't want to drop him. Harper, Atley - patchy but it's great getting games into them. So would drop Thomas before them. Thought about Cunnington in for Harper or Atley. By the by, I would be surprised if Scott drops Thomas. Expect he might bring Greenwood in for Atley or Harper. Stiff pederson, but he was SHITE v Geelong, and tarrant's big frame is needed v Lions.

my team:

Rawlings-Grima-Thompson
Firrito-Tarrant-McMahon
Harvey-Ziebell-Speight
Harper-Hansen-Adams
Edwards-Petrie-Wright

Goldstein-Swallow-Wells

Thomas-Macmillan-Greenwood

Sub: Atley

Out: Pratt (susp),Garlett

It was reported elsewhere on this board that Wright has had a needle in the "holder".

We don't know what that means. It might be season ending. It might not.

It sure sounds painful.

Likely a cortisone injection to the shoulder. Used to reduce inflammation for conditions like tendinitis. Treatment tends to be highly effective, but the problem with it is that the body doesn't eliminate cortisone so there is a limit to how many times you can have the shots before they start doing nothing for you.

On topic, I reckon cunnington, greenwood, LA, and possibly tarrant are fighting for pratt's spot if he gets rubbed out.

I'm living proof that cortisone doesn't always prove effective however.

It worked a treat with foot issues, after 6 in two years.

It didn't get the job done with my shoulder, bar the initial "how good is this?" feeling post injection. Three of those in a year, following on from a series of three twenty years ago. Hydrodilitation next, also no help. Ended up having the full shebang under the knife.

I hope Sammy's is solved simply. No doubt any damage will be surgically corrected post season.
