We've got a couple of weeks to build towards this, but assuming that Zork is out, I'm thinking...

In: T Berry, Ah Chee

Out: Zorko, Robinson

I'd be curious to see whether we'd consider Lohmann though if he was fit. We did seem to want to get him straight into the senior team earlier in the year.

Sounds like there may be a question mark over Rich & Gardiner too. Would think Madden & Payne are the obvious choices there if need be.

On another note, I'm starting to get a little worried about Cockatoo. Really thought he'd be a best 22 lock for us this year, but he seems to have fallen well down the pecking order now.

I think Wilmot has gone pass Madden pretty comfortably

I like the changes but doubt we’d drop Mitch after just one game and a win. Maybe he could tag Langdon

Tom Berry and Callum Ah Chee in for Zorko and Robinson for sure.

I really like TBerry’s attack on the ball and man.

But he doesn’t have the composure or kick that Zorko does.

If we really have to replace Zorko in the midfield, the obvious contenders are Bailey or Cockatoo, and Cockatoo hasn’t really impressed me in the reserves.

Otherwise we move JBerry inside, and bring Ah Chee back in to play wing.

I think Berry on the wing to counteract Langdon makes a lot of sense. I'd probably bring in TBerry for the attack on the ball and play Cam through the middle more if Zorks is out.

I do wonder if Terry be a good run with player.. Has better burst speed then Jerry not sure the tank.
He is as hard as nails always thought he replace Robbo.

Matho has had lots of chances .T Berry has the upside and is the sort of player who will thrive on more work and responsibility.

Ah Chee should never be out of the side. Robbo is cooked imo.

We'll keep playing JL and try to find a role to suit where he's currently at. I reckon I would've made the distance on those 3 shots on goal last night .Obviously something is not right unless he's deteriorating rapidly which I doubt. But he has lost a yard or two. Which he couldn't afford to

I guess Zorks will get up for the game. The best outcome is to rest him until he's 100% . A fully fit Zorks will make a big difference in finals .

Agree on all counts with your post but the poor goal kicking isn't a sign of JL's decline imo - he's always sucked at set shots, been ok with snaps. Its a problem if we are going to stick him up forward for periods though.

Yeah, nah. Irish was really good against Franga on Friday with Madden playing forward/ mid. Was totally impressive.

Just as an aside. Watching the VFL team, made me think how our VFL defensive unit is equal to our AFL defensive unit.
Payne, Arnold, Michael, Lester, Wilmot, Uosis(sometimes). That's an embarrassment of riches.

Those guys equal to Andrews, Adams , Starcevich ,Coleman ,Rich and Answerth ?

OK.

Not equal. Certainly replicates it. Similar players. But no way in hell would that VFL backline hold up to an AFL offence.

Can’t bring Robbo in and out of the team. If he goes out that’ll prob be it.

I’d go Ah Chee and reward TBerry for some strong form. Robinson and zorks out.

What impressed you about Madden on Friday night? I watched most of the game and apart from a few tackles I didn’t really notice much from him at all. What I did take out of the game is Ah Chee is way too good for that level and Tom Berry isn’t far off demanding multiple games at the top level. Payne was also excellent!

In: Mathieson, Ah Chee and Lester
Out: Zorko, Robinson and Gardiner

Lester to be given strict instructions to not let Adams attempt to kick the ball. He must demand handball receive every time Adams takes possession. Lester to also direct Adams away from opponents standing flat footed in the corridor 25 metres out from goal.

No droppa McStay?

Disappointing post

Nah, I like Dan, he tried hard in the ruck and up forward he can be damaging as the third tall. Fagan naming Fort as the medi-sub meant we didn’t need to drop him for Daniher. Apart for that, I’ve been happy to have Dan in the team nearly all year-ish. His kicking has improved out of sight in recent times and he is holding more marks.

I'd be going Tom Berry for Zorko assuming that's the only out.

I found it interesting that we didn't use Rayner or Dev much at centre bounces, so hope we see both get more opportunities (Zorko had more than both) to start in the middle.
