The issue is that is he good enough to carry into a final as a risk? That's now two important games where we are a player down in the first quarter of a contest. It hasn't cost us yet but it has the potential to do so. Hamstring's are difficult injuries and you can't necessarily predict when they are going to occur, other than manage the warning signs which VDM very much has.

If someone like Arty can do a similar job, then you simply have to pick the one that isn't a health risk.
Believe the same thing happened in 2021 prelim v. Port?

Most games without a final.
1. Swallow 240.
2. Barker 230.
3. Cunningham 224.
4. Hardeman 219.
5. Newnes 207.
6. Pool 200.
7. Jones 199.

Thankfully he won't move any higher on the list, would have been a cruel blow.

Number 3 on that list is Harry Cunningham from Swans?

Wow has he been unassuming and gone about it with min fuss.

just posted on twitter Ian Collins has contacted the AFL to appeal the Jones decision :)
I try to be a nice person ( it’s a work in progress) and not be vindictive but it was one of life’s most joyful days when Ian Collins was overlooked for the AFLs top job.

To all you bet wetters thinking he deserved a week

That’s great news, Jones and Lobb can account for Chol and Gunston and O’Donnell can take the checkout kid. Will mean we’ve got them for size and contested marking at both ends.

Lots of talk about their mosquito fleet but Ginnivan and Watson have kicked less goals than Bont and Treloar, let alone Weightman and West. Dylan Moore is a genuine gun so we’ll just have to hope he isn’t too damaging.

The MCG suits our tall forwards, lots of space to get each of them out on the lead or isolated 1v1. Against much smaller defenders. They don’t have anyone that can get close to going with Darcy in the air. GWS had to put the best KPD in the comp in Sam Taylor on him and he still kicked 2 in shocking conditions for tall forwards out at Ballarat. the Hawks best bet is Sam Frost, who will be decent in a wrestle but is giving away 15cm. They’ll be shitting bricks every time we go I50.

I'm surprised that Liam got off with just a fine. I read on X that he attacked Cadman with a machete.

The game will well and truly be won and lost in the midfield, if we play like we did against them earlier in the year and allow them quick clean entry into the forward line there will be an issue but if our mids and high forwards atleast break even then we win.

So basically stop Day assuming he plays, and Newcombe

We were absolutely awful that day. We just have to play as we have for all bar one of the last 7-8 weeks and that won’t be an issue. I think Richards in there also gives us a dimension they’re not used to seeing from us.
