That is one of the best starting 22 benches I've ever seen lol. Why would you start all 4 of them blokes OFF the ground?
Firstly, not sure who starts on the bench really is that big of a deal these days. Secondly, Daniel is on because I feel being the smallest defender, he is best starting off, as to avoid him getting caught one out with the 6-6-6 as much as is possible. McLean, Smith and Libba all off due to being the second string midfield behind Bont, Dunks and Macrae, and are not forwards.

Absolutely incredible that people want to drop Lloyd despite doing everything asked of him given that he was one of our last picked (won a couple of frees, took some marks, kicked a goal) for players who either haven't played an AFL game since 2018 and clearly will need to adjust to the level (Greene) or someone who was demonstratively poor when he played this year and was rightfully dropped (Dale).

We need to win games for finals and people are talking about development. That's ridiculous. Giving us a better chance of playing finals this year is clearly more important than the statistically remote chance someone like Greene is critical to us longer term. I like the kid, but honestly, Lloyd plays that game again this season and he's got a role for the rest of the season.

I’d be extremely concerned if playing like that is what was asked of him. I hope we expect much better whether it be Lloyd, Dale or Greene.

Do we know how Bailey Dale has gone since being dropped? Have just not heard his name? The media don't ask about him and Bevo doesn't mention him. I just think he has great potential as well as a reasonable record. He streak of 20 he kicked across 6 games is something that few of our players seem capable of.

One name I haven't heard too much of but could be an option for Richards spot on the wing/HFF is Suckling. Does the old boy have anything left to give in a run to the finals?

In short no.
In length..Obviously this is only my opinion but I feel his speed has decreases significantly this year his kicking is less of a strength then in his past and soft tissue injuries are becoming more of an issue.
With only 3 games to go in the year I would like for us to look past suckling Dickson and wood in favour of some of the younger guys who currently contribute just as much and also have the potential upside like butler, cavarra, youngs and Greene. The one older guy is like to see us being back in is Duryea, our biggest weakness in defence this year has been not having someone to match up on the best small forwards with wood being given those match ups to some success the last few rounds.

Easton Wood may return for this game! :)
He must not have strained him hamstring, but rather had some ‘awareness’.

We really have have no excuses at the moment. Missing one best 22 player in VDM and a couple of fringe types who probably wouldn’t be getting a game.

To my eye we played 3 players last night that aren't up to AFL standard, and i don't really see the potential in them to become AFL standard. So they are my outs

Out: Gardner, Lloyd, Hayes
In: Schache, Cavarra (both stiffed to be dropped when they were) and one of the Youngs
Have you not watched the last 3 games at all? Gardner has been good, and the Eagles game he was one of our best defenders. If he's not AFL standard based on the Eagles game, then Keath can't be either

Based on headline my prediction for this week will be:

OUT:
Hayes
R. Smith

IN:
Lipinski
Suckling
Hi Roarke, you kicked a clutch goal in the final quarter which on the quiet between you and I, 3/4’s of the 22 would have fluffed. See Naughts a few moments later. But we are going to drop you anyway. Bevo.

Yeah, nah.
