Dumont will tag Mitchell. Starting mids will be Goldy, Dumont, Wells, Ziebell
Dumont doesnt have the experience to tag Mitchell and nor should he be asked to do the job.
I reckon Ray has come in for the tagging job.

I like your enthusiasm, but I'm not sure losing 2 gun mids and replacing them with a 10 gamer is improving us.

I dont see it as improving us, but the changes allows us to somewhat (not completely) deal with the absences, obviously I'd prefer Spitta and Cunners out there but I think we have done very well with the changes considering the situation. We might gain in some other areas to lessen the blow

Where are all the wails bemoaning the inclusion of Fazza?

Played his role last time and with the injuries people can see the value of him coming in and doing just that.

How funny would it be if he got a Grand Final winning medal (if everything went to plan). Would be hilarious, the Dogs melts would be worth the price of admission

A very good selection in the circumstances

My understanding is that the Hawks are not a great contested team. Given that, maybe, the loss of Cunnington and Swallow may not be as bad as it seems. Hopefully, Dumont's good usage of the ball will come to the fore. Also, Ray's inclusion might help our spread. I'm trying to be "glass half full" here!

I know, right?! Almost as if putting him on the Rookie List for circumstances like this was an inspired decision. Or at least not the worst idea.

That is correct. They do. Now.

Gibbo would be a good match up for Isaac Smith, who can be pretty dangerous if given free rein.
iirc, a good part of the reason we beat them last time had to do with Hill (?) and Rioli being out, meaning once we tagged Smith, they were significantly deprived of run. I may have the personnel the wrong way around, but this circumstance seems to be something I recall.

I think Jack Zieball will thrive under the leadership, good players tend to do so. I think we will see a Dangerfield game (from last week) from Jack tonight.

Seeing those earlier incidents with the poowees - it's amazing how ******* slow our boys are to actually get in the face of the perpetrator! When The Good Bloke went the forearm at Spitta - some of our boys appealed to the ump - GET stuffed

That's how they've been coached. Watch the footage of Swallow telling off Spud et al for getting into scraps during the captains doco.
