Early in the game I was thinking Smith was definitely going to be out, especially with Shaz banging the door down.

Then Phillips did a few terrible things but worked really, really hard and ended up redeeming himself. Will probably end up earning a Rising Star nomination (without checking anyone else's stats) sooner or later, so he'd be stiff to go out.

Blair... bloody hell. You don't feel comfort when he gets it, or when he's near it. I just dunno, did he do little enough to get dropped? Without stats checking, I dunno.

Perhaps Shaz out, Aish in. Not sure what that will do structurally.

Blair impacts a handful of contest in a game and of them only wins a few. If you swap him for Kirby he will still only impact a few contests but I would put everything I have on him winning more of them and kicking more goals.

Made some pretty ordinary errors

We have a group we can make a good team out of with a few more tweaks.
Maynard will be a Hodge type in few more years.
Have a jet Ruck for his age.
And a few decent young mids learning from a Magpie great.
If we can find a partner for Darcy it would help.
And if the sons of guns end up being okay we might just be okay in another 12-18 months.

Sucks being back down the ladder for a while but we need to reset a lot over the next 6-8 months skills wise and game plan wise.
