Eagles defence really struggle today with tall forwards- particularly Dixon.
Last derby, McGovern had something like 8 intercept marks in the first half alone. Can't let that happen again, having Taberner/Kersten helps a long way.

Also, really hope Hamling is fine. Kennedy will probably come in for them so he's the best option. Collins will get slaughtered, unfortunately
Sadly we haven't got a Dixon

Im not a Suban hater but he was destroyed today by Higgins. Id go
In: Taberner, Mundy, Langdon, De Luca (if he doesn't get suspended) Suban stays in if he does.
Out: Sheridan, Grey, Suban, Kersten
Those changes would make us a very quick young team.

It will be touch and go between Kersten and Tabs at the selection table rather than bigfooty. Id play Tabs and instruct him to play a decoy role to Mcgovern if Kennedy comes back and Jeremy plays back as Andrew's son was easily best on ground the last time we met in my view.
Nyhuis to play on Yeo if he plays back as Yeo who also destroyed us last time. Blakely to go on ball if Yeo spends time onball.

Also if Johno is injured then Collins comes into the team. He looked injured late in the game to me.
How many Goals did Higgins kick today and I am sure it was less than last week. Wasn't Subes job to shut down his goal scoring?. Subes will play next week as it is his 150Th and he probably has scores to settle with WC players before retirement or being moved on at the end of the year as a lot of BF posters think should happen to him.

Mundy for Sheridan
Collins for Hamling (only in case of a serious injury)
Taberner for Grey (inj) or Ballantyne (form), perhaps Deluca or Balic for the other. But wouldn't be totally against keeping Ballas for the derby.

Prefer to not play player carrying obvious niggles that could be targeted.

Bizarre for a team that's unlikely to play finals it's become a tough team to break into.

Need to find space in this line-up for Mundy, Cam Mac, potentially Balic and Langdon, and long-term wise Bennell, Apeness, Alex Pearce and a few other up and comers

Need to find space for Cam Mac? There's some down in mandurah. Needs a run in the seconds.

Potential outs:

Grey - yes he's tough and all that but offers very little otherwise.

Crozier - he turned it on a bit in the 2nd half but first half was ordinary

Sheridan - injured

Hamling: hope not!!

Potential ins:

Mundy: needs to tear it up being fresh Taberner: reward for what he's doing in the WAFL
Collins?Langdon?Deluca: depends whether we go for extra runners or another big against their way too big forward line
Sutcliffe: does alright on Darling - give him that job

I swear people's suggestions in here are based purely on their opinion of the players and not their actual game day performance.

Sheridan (inj) -> Mundy
Grey (inj) -> Taberner
Hamling (if inj) -> Collins

Don't think we will see major changes outside of injuries and to get Mundy and (if fit) Spurr back in. Suban wasn't amazing but I don't think Ross will drop him simply because of the tackles etc around the ball where he was good. Of course I wouldn't be devastated to see

Suban -> Balic/Langdon

Yeh it's a funny position to be in. Sitting 7-8 with an awful percentage and yet we're finding it hard to make room for players who are arguably best 22. Even Deluca's been hard done by and would probably have kept his spot if not for a twisted ankle.

Pretty much everyone being given a debut or a shot in the first team is taking it with both hands. Bodes really well for the future.

Assuming Grey and Sheridan out with injury. Hamling I hope gets up if not in comes Collins.

Tabs and Mundy in. Might slow us down a bit but I think we need the height against WCE. Darcy could use a bit more chop out from Tabs as well I think.

Ballantyne had a stinker and Subes ditto given how much influence Higgins had (given his role). But I'd be giving Balic and Deluca (if not suspended) another week at Peel.

Higgins kicked one goal, playing midfield, but had 26 possessions and was by far the most damaging North mid. I don't remotely dislike Suban, but todays performance was pretty ordinary IMO.

Outs - Kersten*, Sheridan
Ins - Tabs, Mundy

* I know he kicked 2 goals, but he just frustrates me with missed tackles and not competing in a contest. Think Tabs would be better given West Coasts intercepting defence.

Crozier HAS to go back also.

Out : grey ( injured) , sherriden ( injured + Rixx) , hamling ( managed), croz ( need to go back and improve )
In : langdon , Tab , Collins , duman (upgrade).

What's with the drop Suban calls? Didn't do too much wrong and laid a massive 10 tackles.

Had 10 disposals, 5 of which were clangers, and the bloke he was tagging was BOG for the opposition.

Don't get me wrong he was great last week, best game of his career. But he was back to the same old Suban this week.
