are the boundaries here short?

Yes
It's an Adelaide Oval type ground. The commentators said Mike Hussey mentioned at the toss that he was suprised at the ground because it is actually a cricket venue. Most other NZ grounds are thugby venues.

Fox Sports should have a ticker in the bottom corner and it ticks over everytime a commentator says "Wee bit".I reckon they'd be up to 25 now.

0/75 after 14

Bout time they played Watson where is should be played every game.

Watson, where have you been? Always saves his best for the dead rubber. Helps that he's playing in position though - he's more suited to the opening role but can up the ante once he's settled.

He's been batting at 7. That's why...

Exactly how did Tuffey force his way into the NZ WC squad?

When Kyle Mills was ruled out for a year with a knee injury, he was the next in line.

Not quite sure how Tuffey got to the front of the queue though, having not played a ODI in 2 years. Andre Adams had played more recently, although not very successfully. Chris Martin is contracted and took 2 wickets in his last two ODIs, albeit again some time ago.

That's crap. Of course Voges etc wouldn't complain about playing too much cricket, because they don't. But Gilly is a permanent fixture in both the one dayers and the Tests. As you know, cricket schedules are jam packed, and players often comment that it can become a bit too much. This 'enjoy every minute or retire' business is idealistic nonsense that fails to understand where the cricketers are coming from.

World Cup Squad Members - ODI's since the last world cup (not including no-result matches, or today)

Clarke 95 - currently injured
Ponting 95 - currently injured
Symonds 95 - currently injured
Gilchrist 92 - currently expecting a baby but tired
Lee 81 - currently injured

Hogg 65
Hayden 63
Hussey 59
McGrath 56
Bracken 45
Watson 31
Haddin 16
Johnson 16
Hodge 12
Tait 3

So...maybe that rotation policy needs to be ramped up, not down
