I went to Macau in 2012 and when I saw that sensational paving in Senado Square (in my previous post) I thought that it would be great if we could make Rundle Mall unique and iconic like that with the redevelopment. Not exactly the same obviously, but something bold that would almost become an attraction in itself.
A third silver testicle would just about do the trick.

Take a bow Lockhart Road ... you are a big part of this
Thank you, mate.
There are many who have played a part of various sizes at various times. This whole continuous project makes for a great sports story. with the Port Adelaide Football Club and its history a main feature. I've cleared the block and have now moved from chapter 5 to chapter 6. Harold Oliver will be played by Hugh Jackman. Any suggestions for who plays Bobby Quinn, scars and all?

Bobby Quinn still the greatest PAFC player according to my Grandpa. Lloyd Zucker the hardest. He still talks about when they did this or did that in a game. Gerard Butler to play Bobby Quinn when your book gets made into a movie. Back on topic we need a petition for Lockhart Road to toss the coin next year. All started with that first email.

Signed.

Have you got many fans heading over there. I'm pumped for it. Have never been to China. I know about 3 words in Chinese. Should be fun!
At this stage I am planning to go. Hopefully we can get some people across for this game.

We have enough trouble getting people to games at Metricon, so dare I say we will be pretty outnumbered in China. Maybe with the colours of the Chinese flag though, it could sway at least a small amount of local support

It would be a hell of an honour, but I don't think the marketing plan will be for a 70-year-old expat in a black, white and teal drover's hat to be seen playing two-up in the middle of Jiangwan Stadium by a Chinese audience of 20+ million.

The Shanghai administration will, I expect, have a lot of influence on event management and gameday format.

Knowing Shanghai, we'll have Gong Li wearing a black, white and teal drover's hat and tossing the coin.

Then again the game in Shanghai falls under the Sports Diplomacy classification. This is why DFAT is so into it.
If it really goes the political route ... President Xi Jingpin or, considering our PM witnessed the MoU, perhaps Premier Li Keqiang.

Port Adelaide are playing in China against Gold Coast on Sunday, May 21.
