Lmao, if he played for your club this year he would've got the 2nd most tackles and 5th most contested possessions. Will have to prise that badge from Grigg's cold dead hands...

Which is why my first sentence was that we would have to find a second rounder elsewhere. Weren't you paying attention?Next year is the final year of a contract that will lead into the biggest contract of his life if he plays well, he won't be a negative influence on anyone.
Anyways you don't pay attention or you would realise pick 31 is going to brisbane for pick 17, you cant keep 17 and offer carlton 31 (You won't have it genius).
Astbury is quite a handy player, sad to lose him if it happens he will be a handy pick up for Brisbane if he can avoid further injury.I guess it doesn't really matter considering they have a couple of academys taken before #17. So that pick wouldn't be much different to their next second rounder and a later pick points wise.
Given the scenario #17 for Yarran will do fine... well done Tigers if they can pull it off.
Not really, they paid overs we are unlikely to do the same.
And on averages he wouldn't get a gameLmao, if he played for your club this year he would've got the 2nd most tackles and 5th most contested possessions.
Because quite clearly we are losing something of value, we at least want to be half compensated for our loss.

You're missing the point - I'm making it clear why they are no longer dealing with us. The point I'm making is: only Richmond is dealing with Carlton, because hey can't get the deal done. Yes 17 is fine, so Richmond better go get it done soon.
half compensated? lol
You are way in front with anything between 21-31!
You started by suggesting you should keep pick 17 and offer the same 2nd round pick to carlton, I told you that you won't have it yet when you reply you again finish with "He'd end up ours for pick 31 or whatever it is."Which is why my first sentence was that we would have to find a second rounder elsewhere. There are only 7 kids in this draft rated well enough to say they will make a club b&f top 10 (3 of which are academy picks), 13 other kids that might make best 22 quality and outside those top 20 your looking 50:50 if they will even make the grade (Outside Pick 38 your looking at maybe role players if you are lucky). Based on that picks 8-20 are value for someone like yarran, 21+ would be rubbish.half compensated? lol

If he coasts he will lose out on his one big pay check, he won't do it unless he wants to end up in a centrelink office 3 years after retirement.Yeah right, like Carlton are going to offer him more than $450K
He is better off staying at CFC, collecting $450K, cruise along the year since you will bottom out again then skipping over to the mighty Tigers
We are rebuilding, we must have picks inside the top 20. Otherwise, we force Yarran to stay and see what happens - we have plenty of money to match a FA offer, which by the valuations of Richmond supporters we will easily match for no pain whatsoever.
He'll go to Richmond but it will be for a top18 pick. 17 or some deal involving 12.

Quite clearly most clubs draft teams are on board with that which is why so many trades have been completed thus far, all except the tigers who have missed out on everything they have looked at.

Agree. Don't see value in the flaky flanker who picks and chooses when he wants to play. Time for Bolts to get into Yarrans ear and get him back on track for the blues next year.Exactly Yarran is contracted and bound to us.
If RFC wants us to release him to them they pay the price or wait under year and see how things turn out.
Silvani hopefully will hold very firm for their Pick12.
We should not give in to these poachers, the RFC demenour has been poor.
Obviously Yarran is well worth pick 12 it's not over paying.
Dan Richardson has stated pick15 to 18 is about the mark.
So get it done or walk away simple, all this consternation and child'a play over his actual value.

Just because North paid overs for Anderson doesn't mean we have to do the same.
I'm amazed at this Richmond rating system. Not really, they paid overs we are unlikely to do the same.
You're kidding aren't you.I'm amazed at this Richmond rating system.
We as Carlton fans are telling you that if we get pick 12 for Yarran, we LOSE this trade. Yarran is a top 5 player for us, if he didn't want to leave there is no way we would accept a pick 12 for him. Pick 12 is the discounted, bad attitude, wants to leave but still contracted value of Yarran
