Would seem a reasonable assumption that he gets picked up in the 20s now. Wouldn't be disappointed if it was one of our picks.

20 or 26

I want Barnett and Jones with those picks.

Looks like Barnett may be more likely there at 26 than Jones.

Same height as Shai Bolton and Jnr Rioli. If Bolton wasn't classed as one of the top 10 players right now IMO Jones would slide into the 3rd round.

People say he is too small to make it. Then they see Bolton cutting up opposition midfields and kicking goals forward and the FOMO starts building up.

If you could only take one of Hollands or Hotton, who would you take?

I'm VERY big on one touch players so you know which way I'd be going.

Hollands but there is not much in, the two way running machine capability is what puts him just ahead of Hotton for me.

Realistically you would be pretty happy if you got either.

Watching a replay of the Boomerangs vs World teams at the moment, golly gosh there's some talent amongst those boys - dash and candy galore.

I’m not full bottle on 2km times but sub 6.00 would be quite decent would it not?

And does anyone know who that might be in the same frame as Hollands

Generally speaking, at AFL level 3:00/km is considered elite.

Query in this case will be whether that pace can be maintained once the player adds another 20% to his overall body mass.

Running at 70kg is completely different to running at 85kg.

But it nonetheless demonstrates that capability is there if managed correctly.

Wouldn't be surprised if Gold Coast have locked him [O.Hollands] in at 5 (once it is received for Rankine) now.

Agree with Suns taking Hollands with first pick. However I would propose that the Suns play their Bowes dump differently.

Give Geelong Bowes and 5 in return for Cats future R1. Why?

Cats pretty much guaranteed of Clark at 5
Suns will get Hollands at 7
Hawks don’t need Hollands type and they are at 6 but might be tempted with Clark
Cats F1 likely to be around 16 to 18. They have sold their F2 to Lions already and AFL won’t sign the Bowes deal off until suitable value goes back

Cats are amassing enough former first rounders so young talent is not an issue
