They’ve been posting all over Bigfooty about how Clarkson was just putting the finishing touches on the contract before it was announced.

The most baffling thing about these reporters on these deals is that they insist that players and coaches flip flop on decisions 1000000000000000 times before they make it.

Most of the time whenever confronted with a deal, people will know almost immediately whether or not they'll take it. They don't one day think no, then the next day think maybe, then the next day think no, and 30 minutes later think definitely yes. The only time a reporter can be trusted on whether a deal will be happening or not is in the few hours before the deal being made.

Good luck to Adam Kingsley in that race...went to school with him. Great fella and had a good career. Also would be good keep McRae with the Hawks which we need with an inexperienced coach.
Interestingly Foxsports writes that Clarko will be owed $450K from Hawks...Always been $900K that's been referred to, so a reduced amount must've been agreed to with his non-reappointment (or sacking)... Also says that amount will come under our soft cap. Someone on this board suggested that amount under the soft cap would be $75K (IIRC)...Its hard to know whats more accurate out of Bigfooty posters and professional journalists.
