Kevin Sullivan was one wrestler who scared me as a kid - I bought into the Satanic gimmick even though I knew wrestling was a work. I never even saw him wrestle - the pictures were enough to make an impact.Kevin Sullivan has passed away
since the show (The Queen of Villains) is up on Netflix now, WWE released these 2 matches. (I think they previously aired on Prime Time Wrestling. If not I definitely watched them on youtube not that long ago. Looks like WWE had the Dump/Bull match on their site for Bull's HOF induction)
EDIT: the airdates of these matches on PTW are prior to the episodes we can access on the Network.
never heard that one. That Queen of Villains show looks awesome. My understanding was that Dump, Bull and the Crush Gals were meant to be at WrestleMania 2 but Moolah pulled some sort of political move and the match got changed to Moolah vs Velvet McIntyre - which went less than two minutes when Velvet's bar strap broke and they had to go to the finish. It was a missed opportunity but they got it right with the Jumping Bomb Angels. Gave them two great grizzled veterans to work with (Judy Martin and Leilani Kai) as well as a great heel manager in Jimmy Hart and the commentators, especially Jesse Ventura put them over big time.
Gene Mean being an intelligent jew is the cherry on top.
Sheiky called him some kind of jew just as a p!ss take in a few of his promos to get him to crack.Wasn’t he Scandi?
an all-time classic moment
yes, that's the one! This was the same show Cactus Jack debuted yeah? I remember reading the wrestling websites (Scoops Wrestling, Slobberknocker Central etc) in the weeks leading up and they were all mentioning WWF planning something big at the Sept 22 MSG Raw. This was before we could actually watch Raw in Australia so I used to read the recaps during IT class in high school to keep up with what was happening. Had to buy pirate VHS copies of the PPVs from a little hole in the wall shop at Tivoli Arcade on Bourke St and sometimes had to wait weeks for them to make the copy for me. They sold the Raw's too but as a high school kid with no money $20 a month for the PPVs was about all I could manage, in fact I remember there was a kid at my footy club who got them too so we would alternate months and then lend the tapes to each other.
