Wonder how Matt crouch is feeling now

Mich0 This idea that we played better without Oliver is so ridiculous. What a small sample size. We also won the damn flag with Oliver dominating and kicking the sealer.

We lost to Collingwood by 7 points without Petty and Brayshaw going down early as well as horrendous kicking for goal but yeah apparently because we beat Kangaroos, Richmond and Stkilda and scraped over the line against Geelong, Carlton, GWS and the Dockers then it means we play better without our best player....

He kicked a goal in the 3rd quarter of a 74 point victory.

"The sealer".

Cool. Another 3 B&Fs, another 3 AA guernseys, maybe another 2 AFLCA MVP awards. Maybe a Brownlow why not?

He’s 26yo.

He is undoubtedly a star and worth a fortune, which makes this how situation bizarre. I would assume tomorrow Melbourne will come out with a statement and shut the whole thing down

If they don’t however then you would expect he is more likely to go than stay - and in that case the D’s won’t get true market value.
Probably 2 first rounders and maybe a player/ second rounder - which would be well unders but the most likely type of package

Personally I like the move.

Good chance to bring in high-end youth ahead of Tassie coming in.

Also an area where we are stacked so can re-invest in our forwardline in parallel while saving an extra 1m off our books for free agency next year.

We made top 4 without Oliver most the season so we shouldn’t drop off a cliff without him.

But yeah, all posters here can see is “ItS aN AtTiTuDE PRoBlEM” like we are in 6th grade gym class.

As much as I'd like him at the Dons, I genuinely love him for the Crows, really adds that missing piece.
What does Adelaide have though, pick 9, two picks in the 20's? Thats not enough. Even if the 2 picks in the 20's gets converted to a pick around 15, that means 9 & 15 goes to the dees? That's not enough. We'd need a pick in the top 5. or if nothing early, 3 first rounders. He's contracted for 7 years, of course we can force him to play it out and that's a win for us.

Look we'll agree to disagree on this one Mich0. I respect that you don't rate Oliver, but to me, he is the best demon player of all time. Trading him out will create a massive curse on the club.

Possibly 3 picks in the low-mid 20s (Doedee compo), 9, plus a future first. That’s plenty to work something out.

You'd kicked 6 in a row when he kicked the goal. I watched the game, I dare say most of us did.

Their backs were already broken. Not sure why you feel the need to make up rubbish, it doesn't help you.
When it's your own team, you ride every bump and kick. You would've said the dees were done when we were 3 goals down halfway through the 3rd quarter and the dogs had all the momentum. Whats the difference? Momentum stops when you enter 3/4 time and there's a massive difference between being 3 goals down and 4 goals down heading into the last break.

9, F1, 20, 23, Doedee compo

If we took the haul we would have

5,9,13,20,23,24,33 Doedee compo, Grundy Compo, Harmes Compo, Jordan Compo and 2 Future firsts.

Not sure what the trade looks like, probably isn't a club to club deal, likely gets involved with a 3rd or 4th club. I'm sure all parties can get what they want or close to.

The idea is nuts, it's like Collingwood trading out Daicos

He's pretty much the best player in the game atm, has been for a few years

Melbourne will never recover if they lose Oliver, it's unthinkable

I disagree. We're not going to lose a great and not get a pick in the top 8 for him. Especially when all the elite talent is gone by then. This draft there is a clear top 6 or 7.
Well I’m sure it will involve GC and WC coming to the party. Won’t be that simple. But if the relationship is that far gone, then you take the best offer and I’m not sure any other clubs will be able to do better.
